The OP is wrong to call it a fluke. We won the game so therefore deserved it. However, I hope the coaching staff realized not a single one of our issues was fixed. Nothing we did showed we are better prepared to beat good teams. That is just a fact, not being negative

Might wanna watch those 2 plays again.

Not saying Florida wouldn't have gotten a game winning FG try, but your definition of "rolling" seems different than mine.

Even if you turn the INT into a catch, Florida is scrambling at the 45 yard line with under 20 seconds and the clock running STILL needing another 15 yards without a timeout.

LSU ran all over Florida's arse when they knew we were gonna run at them. LSU has won lucky before, but this particular game @ Florida was not one of them.

Why exactly did Florida get forced to pass on 3rd and goal when every team in America should be able to run it in in on 3 plays on 1st and goal at the 2? I guess it was luck that we stuffed them on the first two plays.

I felt that way until I saw your guy start against auburn. he may pass the eye test but he sure isn't ready to start football games against SEC opponents.

Anthony Jennings gives us the best chance to win the football game whether you get excited or not. now, that may not be true in a few weeks but it damn sure is now. AJ starts laying eggs we'll see Harris again; that is if he can settle down and execute the plays that are called.

Yep. The situation is fluid and can change in a hurry, but AT THIS MOMENT it is obvious to anyone with a brain that Jennings gives us a better chance at winning games.

It's a fluid situation though as we continue to develop both of these underclassmen. It's obvious that neither are truly "ready", but Jennings is a little further along than Harris. We are in this unenviable position of being FORCED to play a QB that isn't ready, but we just gotta push through it...one or both will eventually get it.

We need them both this year and going forward, and anyone that "picks sides" and totally disregards the other QB is frickin stupid IMO.

get outta here. it is not a fact; it's just not true. were you drunk?

we blocked better, we tackled better and we ran more short to medium passing plays. WE IMPROVED. so we ARE better prepared to beat good teams. will we beat them? who the hell knows; we have a tough remaining schedule and if we keep improving I tdhink we will beat some of them.

13 yards passing midway through the 3rd. We don't have the defense this year to support that kind of play.

We did last night.

I'm not saying Jennings is definitely "the guy"....but anyone that doesn't see the situation for what it is needs to take a step back....we've got 2 QBs, neither of which have "it" yet...One appears to be a tad further along than the other. They will both play, they will both get experiences, and eventually the light bulb will go off for one or both and the coaches will start to put a little but more on their plate. It's a process that has been and will continue to be frustrating for everyone at times. It's the nature of finding a new QB out of two inexperienced and not-ready options.

But until that time comes, there is no black-and-white answer. Both will play, and eventually one of them will shine and take the job....there is absolutely positively no way to know at this point which one that will be.

We did none of that better. Tackled better? played defense better? We let florida score over 20 points on us. We ran the ball because we played a shitastic team. iIf we played Miss St or Auburn instead of UF absolutely nothing would have been different. Does winning aganst a bad team really brainwash this many people? It is not being negative to say no improvement was made

We have a young team. They've faced 2 of the best teams in college football, far more experienced teams, who played with an extra chip on their shoulders and wanting payback because LSU has owned them both recently (Miss St for the past 20 yrs, Auburn for the past 3 and 6 of the past 7), and our Tigers got their asses handed to them. Despite objectively seeing at least the Auburn game coming a mile away, and State being far better than anyone realized, our fanbase has turned (yet again) on the team and the coach.
So this young team goes into a hostile Florida Field against a similarly desperate opponent, in a packed house (something we no longer see here), and takes one to the chin early. I know that I wasn't alone in thinking that punt return might break our resolve, and that being down 17-7 might be too much for this team to overcome.
So the team and the coaches lay it all out. Play calls taking forever because the offensive staff is micromanaging, calling each single play instead of going with the flow. It works, and the offense begins to produce. Our team turns the game completely around, and should cruise.
But it isn't over, and Florida rallies. Their arse is on the line too, they need this win. Remember, they gave away a cupcake win earlier, and only play 11 this year.
Does our team collapse? No, despite all the momentum shifts they keep brawling. They make 2 big stands inside the 5 to force the late 3rd down, when everyone thought the best/only chance was to let Florida walk in and have 2 minutes to drive. It paid off, whether it be a drop or not.
Instead of playing for overtime they gamble on passing for the win, and it backfired. Florida got good field position and suddenly overtime looked like a distant best hope. But the defense didn't quit, and we got the interception on, yes, a bad pass, but also on a crushing defensive hit. And we won on a career long FG.

Long recap, but if you can't appreciate how hard our team fought to get that win and enjoy it, you should find another team to support. This might not be a championship season, but that was one of the hardest-fought wins this program has seen.

why do teams lose to other teams?
sometimes the opponent plays like shite.
you think we should have lost to fl and muschamp?

do you watch any other football besides lsu?

lots of teams have bad qbs and throw int and bad fb/wr fumble. is this the first time you have watched a game? fl stunk up the field.

can you ever get off your milesbash and see that miles is one of the luckiest coaches in college football history?

in this day of parity, I want lucky les on my side.

The win was great for LSU and great for the players. Sure, there are still serious concerns with this team, especially at QB. The coaches have their work cut out for them ... it will be interesting ...

We won. That in itself is improvement.

To each his own, but if you get no enjoyment from an SEC win on the road against a proud program then I recommend you seek another hobby.

We may be in rebuild mode and average on our best day this particular season with this particular collection of players, but we found out Saturday there is at least one other team in this conference that we are better than. Maybe this weekend we make it 2. And maybe later in the year we start to see signs of even greater things to come in 2015 and beyond. It's a process, it can certainly be frustrating, it most certainly will have its ups and downs, but if you came away seeing no positives from a much-needed win on the road then you might want to reevaluate why you became a fan in the first place.
