Only speaking for myself, last night has drastically tempered my expectations for Kelly’s tenure. Any championship-level success (CFP or SEC) is going to involve stringing together wins over multiple strong and talented teams, and I just don’t think he’s going to consistently do that here.

I don’t know if it’s underlying offensive philosophy, in-game decision making, ability to evaluate defensive staff. We’re going to be at a disadvantage in any high-level matchup. The more time passes, the more that 2022 Alabama win looks like a fluke.

I agree it was the worst day of Kelly’s tenure and for the first time im not sure bk is going to work out.

He is what he is at this point. He's going to lose at least 3 games a year and never win a championship. Whatever his "process" is does not produce championships. He's proven it over and over. His teams are soft.

I dont think kelly’s postgame was bad..if he didnt show anger people would say he doesnt care

It was an act. He doesn't care. He's just going through the motions. He's content to ride into retirement with the golden parachute Woodward gave him.

I really hope it doesn’t end up the case that Jayden Daniels’ insane scrambling ability covered up lots of issues in BK’s first 2 years

I mean from a program perspective we've had to replace 3/3 coordinators in 2 years, with 2/3 having to be fired for gross incompetence. He rehired two coaches he fired and paid buyouts for less than two years prior. He promoted from within for the OC job instead of hiring an elite name. He basically promoted from within for DC, hiring someone he knew in Blake Baker. The warning signs have been there from the beginning.

I think Baker has potential. Jury's out on Sloan, but first game looked like Kelly's offense. Hopefully Sloan isn't just a yes man.

This is the most annoyed I’ve been with a loss since Les Miles.

This

22 A&M was bad but it was year 1 so I brushed it off

This was unacceptable

So LSU is better than a team who's probably going 6-6?

LSU ran the ball far better than USC did, Nuss wasn’t touched all night and LSU was on in Moss’ face all game.

LSU couldn't run for shite the entire game outside 1 big run late. Nuss wasn't touched because he got the ball out quick. And the defense was hit or miss.

LSU had 7 TFLs, USC had 3. There’s no metric that shows LSU got “dominated” in the trenches

I think he does care. Notre dame was willing to pony up and meet LSU’s offer but he wanted to win a championship.

His legacy is important to him

You still don't accept the fact that last year's offense was 75% due to JD and he is gone

denbrock has always been a good play caller. #1 offense last year was not just because of JD5

sloan blows compared to denbrock

Of course he cares deeply. The narrative that coaches simply stop caring is dumb and tired.

You’ve got to have a quarterback that can at least act like he’s gonna run a couple of times so the defense would have to count for him
