.......Is somebody gonna tell him?

Kiffin will always leave when something else comes open, thus destroying a recruiting class.

No you don’t get it cuz you’re just Fkn idiot. Lots of coaches haven’t won anything.
Meanwhile, Ole Miss is ranked top 10 and ranked higher than LSU last year too.
Yes, we were still relevant after O because of the recent NC. I also said BK is dragging us down to irrelevancy as in he’s in the process of doing so! We fired O before he completely destroyed us. We aren’t in the top 25 now. That means we’re not relevant this year. A non-factor. A nobody. Will miss the first 12 team playoff, but go on and pretend what I’m saying is ludicrous when it’s actually the Fkn FACTS!

Because he proved at 2 perennial loser schools that he can fricking win that’s why.
He's been good at Ole Miss no doubt, I still don't see what proves he's better than BK though. I'd say it's been fairly even.

Yes he has won conference championships. Don’t come back and say you were talking about the SEC either.

Pretty sure sarussell01 must be Joey Freshwater's new alias.

Because Ole Miss went all in on winning this year and spent a ton of NIL money, most of the talent they have are done after this year.
Thanks for your opinion, but mine is that success breeds success.
My prediction is that Kiffin will get Ole Miss into the playoffs. NIL contributors will think they made a good investment and will pony up more to continue that success next year (if Kiffin is still the coach).
Just as an aside, don't you think we should have been more aggressive in the portal when you look at the lack of talent in the secondary?

He’s 1-2 against BK, lost to our sad team and Kentucky despite Ole Miss shelling out all of the portal cash. He wilts under pressure (insert pic of him turning red and dying on the sideline in October), and builds hype by beating up on FCS teams. Any time his teams have expectations they fall short. See 2013. He belongs at an Ole Miss where being good enough is good enough.
You could sub in BK for Kiffin and most of this would still be true.

It seems a bit too early to tell on the whole HS heavy vs portal heavy recruiting philosophy and which is more sustainable longterm.
It would seem to me that having to assimilate a large number of new personalities into your program each year on, in many cases, one years rentals is inherently risky.

Sure, we did land Gilbert who ended up sucking too. Wanted Trey Amos but he's a Golding guy.

Good point...and my opinion might be clouded by how unsuccessful LSU'S program looks right now.

I get that for sure. When things aren't working out well, people always look for an answer and there's nuance to alot of this. Should LSU have went harder in the first portal window? Hell yes. Should LSU flip their foundation and start taking 15-17 HS kids and 17-20 portal guys every year? Idk that there's enough data to prove that that method is more likely too succeed.
I just think with HS kids, you at least have built years of connection with them as well as having time to explain your process and program to them as opposed to a large number of mercenaries going to the highest bidder.

He can coach an offense and QBs . Kind of immature . Doesn’t like recruiting . Remember when he was taking cell phone calls from GFs while coaching at Bama on the sideline ? I’m sure Nick blew a gasket ! He would function best as OC for a strong head coach . Probably loves Ole Miss . Lots of coeds !

I agree with this. It’s logical which is not what most LSU fans seem to be especially on the rant. Lol
Posted on 11/18/24 at 3:30 pm to sarussell01
He’s 15 years younger. Has embraced the portal. Seems more in touch with the kids. those are some good reasons to consider him.
Posted on 11/18/24 at 3:39 pm to sarussell01
Maybe... Kiffin has never really won any championships or come close as a HC going back to Oakland and USC.
He still is an unproven coach.

Buying a roster and faking injuries? Lane isn’t a good coach.

but seems to be able to do more with less talent
Lane has more talent this year than ever before. Top 5 talent. And he has done less with it than he should have.
LSU does not need someone that can do more with less talent. We can get top talent.
