When the dust settles, the OM fans are going to realize Keith Carter allowed LSU to get Kiffin with a few days to work on early signing period and plenty of time to focus on portal. He also made a rash decision in making Golding the permanent HC for Ole Miss. Maybe Golding works out, but I’ll be surprised. My guess is this time next year their fans will be calling for Carters job.
100% agree.

So you think if the roles were reversed LSU would allow it?
Maybe not
But that shouldn’t change the fact that LSU would be the villain, not the coach
Saban clearly stated why he came to LSU and why Kiffin should. And in a matter of days in his first recruiting cycle the evidence is abundant.
Yet not one of those bashing Kiffin has addressed it

It’s good for LSU to have Lane early so I’m not complaining. It’ll make Lane more hungry to make the playoffs again

Brian Kelly not allowed to coach either.

And LSU had a better recruiting class

Yeah the committee put protections on Ole Miss and Bama with rematches to justify their decisions in Bama's case and suck up to Ole Miss in that case.

Why do we keep complaining about that? Kiffin is all in on 2026 instead of game planning for Tulane. Hell, he isn’t even coaching LSUs bowl game.
It's not about complaining, it's the hypocrisy from the sports media
September 2026 is gonna come and they will have to face it

The Ole Miss AD sounds like a very little man with a fragile ego. I'm sure his scorched earth moves were design to make coach look bad.
Of course it was, they lost and they know it, so they tried to paint Lane in a negative manner.
They wanted to make it look like the Tennessee exit when it wasn't

He did LSU a favor so Lane could come down here & get started on recruitment.

Meh. It helps LSU. He can focus on fixing what we need here

Why is no one realizing or at least not addressing the fact, Ole Miss & LSU are not only in the same conference, but on every season play schedule.
That’s why OM admin didn’t allow him back.
Tulane & the Gators are not competing.
Why is this so tough for most to get.
Shut Up ! about Lane not coaching out season at OM.
It’s no one’s fault. Certainly not Lane Kiffin

They weren't prepared for his exit. They should have known when Kelly and Napier got canned that he wasn't staying in Oxford.

Ole Miss potentially gets 2 teams they’ve already played this season to compare results of a Golding coached team vs a Kiffin coached team:
Tulane, Kiffin won by 35

Agree it’s like this never crossed his mind. The playoff was his chance to play some keepaway and instead he cuts Lane loose not to go to some beach resort but to go to help lsu close the gap. Idiotic

A lot of those coaches are in the same conference as their new schooll? I don’t blame Ole Miss for not letting Lane coach. If he leaves us to go to another school, e.g., Bama, we would not want him to coach our team in the playoffs.

Ole Miss needs to understand its place. James Madison does. Tulane does.
When he leaves us to go to Bama do we need to learn our place by letting him coach in the playoffs. We are to Bama what Ole Miss is to us. You can say they should accept their place, but we sure don’t like accepting our place v. Bama (13-2 since the Game of the Century).
I am not sure why LSU would ever let Kiffin coach. We would want him to go help a conference team in the playoffs instead of beginning to work on recruiting and next year’s team. That would make zero sense.

Who the frick cares? That’s for OM to whine about not us. Time to move on.
Posted on 12/7/25 at 8:07 pm to go ta hell ole miss
Why would Lane leave for Bama ? LSU has more resources and advantages than them. Plus why’d Lane want to go to bama behind Saban when he can create his own Legacy at LSU!!!
