To be fair this is how it always goes. We are just seeing it unfold in the public eye. Usually it’s just a mess behind closed doors. Louisiana politics has always been a deterrent to getting top tier coaches to come when they are in their prime.

I don’t think you know how things work
No AD or coach of a major program wants a Governor breathing down their necks when they make decisions on politics
Let me pose this scenario
2 candidates for our next coach or AD
Candidate #1 is either Kiffin or Lanning. Obvious credentials and aged right. Wants to be here for the obvious reasons. Political centrist.
Candidate #2- out of Franklin Louisiana. Has F-150 with truck nuts and trump 2028 stickers and wears MAGA hat (nttawwt). Has college coaching experience as an OC with some decent credentials but LSU would be a big leap. In the interview expresses clear trump support and makes clear that he is sick of this country being taken over by foreigners.
Which guy you think Landry picks?

I doubt that Landry gets a 2nd term. His own rules will allow his puppet of a BOS Prez to get removed immediately afterwards. While the days aren't bright right now, we will have brighter days, soon enough. Get this dipshit out of my governors office soon enough

No actually. And I hope that we can look back at what happened in 2 terms of Jindal to ensure that we don't see 2 terms of this. He is not a good depiction of Louisiana. No one voted in that election, and I think all that did have buyer's remorse.
