Sucks that this had to happen but this is what happens when you finally have a full roster and can offload players who can't rise above. Ibieta can have success somewhere else and we can replace him with another piece on offense or a defensive player who is slightly better. We did this some last year and our defense improved despite glaring holes. Now imagine if the rest of the bloat gets cut and replaced. I'm not saying we're world beaters but it puts us on a level where being a contender is reasonable and not a pipe dream.

This type of transfer has been happening forever.

Because even when he was “on”, like he was Saturday, he still misses easy throws.

I mean it’s not exactly something to be boastful about but this was the best position group on the team.

Will make an instant impact elsewhere?!? What the hell is this motion based on?

No, I'm right. Guys that don't see the field for 3 years have been transferring out forever. They used to just end up at 1-AA schools.

You can pretend otherwise, but it's just that: pretend.

This can be true at the same time as the WR corps being pedestrian is true.

They aren't mutually exclusive.

They wouldn't look pedestrian if they get accurate passes when they are open,

Kyren Lacy's waffle iron hands disagree.

Every QB in the history of football will miss some easy throws. Joe Burrow missed some easy throws in 2019.

This is one of the dumber arguments on here.

The issue with the offense was very clearly the OL this year, you know, not the guy who threw for probably close to 4k yards by the end of the bowl game and graded out by far the best grade on offense of anyone. No WR was even close to Nuss' grade for the season.

But yeah it's all Nuss' fault, the best player on the offense this year (starting in his first season)

Nuss isnt perfect but the constant crapping on him by posters like you is just beyond perplexing. The guy was far from any real issue this season. Yeah he had some turnovers trying to literally do everything because the offense had to revolve completely around him most games, so what. He was not often put in great position for success and still found a lot of it this year.

Among SEC WR's, Kyren Lacy finished:

1st in TDs
2nd in 1st Downs
5th in catches
5th in yards

the dropped ball % for Nussmeier was 8th in the SEC. Not even in the top half lol.

Nussmeier's adjusted completion is 71% this season which is pretty good for a guy who only had 10% of his throws as screens this season.

LSU was 4th best in the SEC in average time to throw

Of course they look terrible when the QB does not know how to handle pressure.

dude, watch any QB you consider 'good' and tell me how many of them run backwards every snap

Looks great until you realize it is good for 9th best in the conference

his ADOT was 9th in the conference.

That would stand for average depth of target.

The best in conference was 76%, and Dart threw 17% of his passes as screens vs. Nuss' 10%.

So 7% higher in screen plays (basically 90-100% throws), and got 5% higher completion.

Jaxson Dart's average depth of target led the conference, and is almost 3 yards more than Nussmeier's lol.
