From everything I’ve heard it’s the exact opposite. Everyone is surprised by how well the transfers are doing to make up for the gaps and the whole team looks to be in amazing shape.

Lance has penis envy of LSU. He always has. He went to Tulane. This is bs

Lance is very biased in college ball IMO, he is a huge UT fan...he was bashing LSU all throughout the 2019 season. I called in once after the UT game to call him out on the shite he was saying about Burrow pre-UT game....still had excuses.

True...but there is a large LSU fan base here and John, the guy that he does the show with, is a big LSU fan.

Orgeron was terrible with roster mgmt and left Kelly a pretty big mess. He had to bring in a shite load of transfers just to have bodies to play. It’s gonna take a couple of years to dig out of what O did.

Sounds like he was trying to make the Aggies in Houston happy this morning

"rough" is completely subjective.
If the preseason expectation is that LSU will be competing for the SEC title...then yes, it could be a "rough" season.
However, LSU is 12-13 over the last two years. So if the expectation is they will be worse than that, I'm not buying it will be a "rough" season.
Except for maybe the most delusional fans, no one thinks this team has the level of talent the 2019 team had. But the talent level isn't at the bottom of the league either. Most importantly, this team is not going to be hamstrung by a complete buffoon at HC who has proven time and again in his career that the more involved he is with the the actual game-play/on-field approach the worse the results. I genuinely don't think people realize just how awful a football mind (from a strategy standpoint) Orgeron is. The ONLY reason LSU was so successful from 17-19 is because Orgeron had so little to do with the actual on-field approach. He became much more involved in 2020 (i.e. implementing HIS defensive approach)...the results speak for themselves.
I completely understand why, from an outside perspective, LSU has lost the benefit of the doubt they had built up for two decades. But that is because they don't fully appreciate the ineptitude of Orgeron. If you EXPECT this team to win more than 10 games and compete for a CFP spot, it may be a "rough" year. But there is no way I think the results will be worse than the past two seasons.

So no specifics? Just a generic not looking good?
Whatever.

Whatever.

That is John Granato. His wife is an LSU graduate and you are correct. Both big time LSU fans.

We should probably just fire Kelly now and get ahead of the coaching search....

LSU hasn’t even put on pads yet. This is laughable. The only observations one can take away from two practices in underwear is if the players are in good shape/condition.

I don't care if he's Bill Belichick, he's not going to know that after 2-3 days of fall practice.

All that from some who may have seen portions of the first couple of fall practices. Nobody isthat good at evaluating football.
