Lamar Brown...For him being our highest rated recruit, how’s he doing?

Deuce was always gonna be more ready to play than Lamar. Deuce was an early enrollee, Lamar didn’t get here till the summer. Plus Lamar had limited DL experience in HS so there was going to be a growing period. Deuce was a blue chipper himself he’s a top 100 overall recruit and the best interior pass rush in the 25 class. Lamar has still flashed his strength and athleticism when he’s seen the field he will be a good player for us

Outstanding OL who wants to play DT. We had him lose weight and move to DE. He’s played in a couple games and will continue to get reps.

Lamar needs to get down to 250-260 if he wants to be effective at the edge

He’s a freshman going against grown men ,how do you think he’s doing.Duece is an exception to the rule.

I’ve seen this mentioned several times. But isn’t he “only” 6’3”? That’s not very tall for a college OT. And it’s pretty damn short for an NFL one. I’m not sure that’s his future spot. Maybe OG. Could use his athleticism to be a devastating pulling guard on some plays. He’d have to gain weight back. I think he winds up at DT eventually.
But shite, he could probably play some TE this year too if they needed/wanted. Plenty big, strong, and athletic enough to play there right now.

he measured 6046 291lb w/ 33.5" arms in Jan 2025

They play different positions. We already have stud DE’s.

Considering the fact that he played way more OL than DL in high school and got here in the summer, of course he's behind. I mean it would be a miracle if he was already out there playing well. You won't see what he can really do til next year.

I think what he wants to know was why he was rated the number 1 player in the country and duece was far down the list.

Potential and frame. Geralds tape was leagues better. The real question is where's Richard Anderson? He was the more dominant of the 2 LA kids and went through spring with the team. Also a 5*. Have seen him on the field but with minimal impact.
