I’m not sure why everyone is so surprised by the lack of pitching talent. We knew that coming into the season.

35 straight fastballs... only 18 of them in the zone

yikes

How bad can his offspeed possibly be? He can’t even attempt to throw an offspeed even if it’s a ball just to throw the hitter’s timing off? Does he fricking throw them out of the stadium or something? I just can’t believe an LSU pitcher doesn’t have a single secondary pitch that’s approaching below average enough to throw occasionally just for shits and giggles

Am I correct that the bullpen has given up 3 runs on 2 hits in 11 innings?

yes, and only one of those hits actually produced a run

Jay needs to have open tryouts from the LSU students tomorrow and see if anybody can throw strikes on a consistent basis. If you can, you get a uniform.

I really thought that after some experience some of the younger guys would be better
Yet we haven’t seen Hasty
Fontenot is still a toss up on what you will get

100% ON THE PITCHING COACH THIS IS SEC BASEBALL IF THE KID CANT EVEN ATTEMPT AN OFFSPEED PITCH THEN HE CANT BE IN THE GAME

Yep this is 100% coaching or lack there of

We always have 1-2 pitchers who improve from the previous year and 1-2 freshman who come in looking good.

Who has improve? Maybe Money, but that’s a stretch. Seems like he is pitching the same just in a different role.

Everyone has regressed
