Pete and CJ were both true pg's playing with the ball in their hands. Both are easily in the top 5 players at LSU, but picking a best team, there needs to be one pg on the court.

Yeah, i mean we have arguably one of the best college basketball players ever and one of the most dominating nba centers ever.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't mind having the NCAA all time scoring leader playing as a shooting guard

I wouldn't mind having the all-time leading scorer at shooting guard, except Pete's and CJ's mentality was to play w/ ball in their hands. It wasn't in their nature to let someone else bring up the ball, while they were running off screens waiting for the ball to be passed to them.
If you pick 5 best players pick both Pete and CJ, but I don't think they would play well together.

as his 3.6 APG in college clearly indicate. he just wanted the ball in his hands b/c he had the green light to shoot when he wanted to and dominated at will.
I'd say pistol at the point and CJ at the 2 would work damned fine. they'd both average close to 30 a night.

That is the LSU All Time DUNKING list you are referring to... he just may have the 2nd best dunk in LSU history after Shaqs vs AZ that was followed with the shaq de shaq dance.
Top 5 Dunks in LSU history....
1) Shaq against AZ
2) Jabari against AZ
3) Tyrus Thomas against Ark or OM
4) Marcus Dupre against
5) DeWayne Scales against UK ??

Ditto, John Williams 6th man.Pistol at point, gotta have ball in his hands, CJ at 2 guard,Pettit at 3,Maclin at 4 and Shaq in the middle. We would get every rebound and score about 150 points per game.

Holy Bob Pettit, I knew he was good but I did not know he was that damn good. All Star in every year he was in the NBA and was constantly breaking records... If he would have played 5-6 more seasons who knows where he would be with records

G -Pete Maravich

G - Ricky Blanton

You obviously were not in the PMAC in 95 (maybe 94), when Glover absolutely rocked a twisting reverse dunk from the free throw line.. your loss.
