that kind of sheds a little doubt on that tweet, or whatever that is

yeah I was about to lay into Kelly if this was true. That's just unpalatable at multiple levels for a supposed mentor and molder of young people. Thankfully it doesn't appear accurate. at least IMO.

I would be willing to bet Frank Wilson is absolutely much more affable and empathetic in a situation like that. That doesn't make Kelly a sh!tbag. Where not showing up at all definitely would have.

Brian Kelly - Kyren Lacy Eulogy

quote:

but if he spoke at the funeral it's unlikely that he didn't meet/speak with that family, we just don't know the truth based off of that allegation

There's no ifs about speaking at funeral when there is video evidence.

On the surface, this appears to be a case of kicking a man when he is down.

Between Lacy and Greg Brooks, it is quite telling how bad CBK has been with players, current or former.

Yea I remember knowing BK spoke at Kyren’s funeral. Why in the world would his dad post that? Just seems odd

He may have spoke at the funeral.. But I imagine that Frank & others went & visited the family right after the event & BK didn't.

Frank isn’t going to be a HC on any level. He is a good position coach. His real talent was recruiting which is less relevant today more than ever.

I don't doubt that at all, but it would seem odd to allow a eulogy from someone without talking to that person prior to the day of the service.

BK’s lawyers probably told him to stay away from the Lacy situation until all investigations were complete and the facts were gathered. Kid was pretty erratic before his death and tough to attach your name to that while he’s brandish firearms, getting in domestic disputes, etc.

Just because he spoke at a public funeral for his own image doesn’t mean he spoke with the family personally.

Some of y’all just say shite to say it.

He’s already been a HC at 2 universities.

Bingo!

I was just about to post "Some people like to kick other's when they are down. Especially, people that outnumber the person on the ground".

Are y’all trying to say BK is down? Am I misunderstanding? I think he’s about to get paid to go away. It didn’t work out. I wouldn’t say he is “down”.

He's "up" in terms of money. He's "down" in terms of career.

true, but if Kelly spoke at his funeral

Okay... thats irrelevant to the point. Yes, im sure he did speak with the family at the funeral 14 days after his death.
