Any chance he’s the coaching hire at LSU that’s been rumored to have fans excited?

Would be great to have him but where would he fit? Our Dline coach is among the best in the biz.

He would have to be an analyst.

Great name but do you really want a high school coach with no college coaching experience?

One of the most technical sound DL ever? LOL

As an analyst? That would be a helluva recruiting tool having a 6 time NFL pro-bowler hanging around.

As an analyst learning under Bo Davis and then can move up as warranted

sounds like a win for both sides

With the TE prediction today from Ruston, it makes you wonder...

Are you serious??? The guy was an elite NFL player, just because he doesn't have much coaching experience doesn't mean he can't coach

Frank spent five years at Ole Miss, USM and Tennessee before LSU hired him. LSU didn’t hire him straight out of OPW as a position coach.
Kyle Williams would be a great hire as an analyst and wouldn’t cost much given his career NFL earnings.

The news article that broke this news said that Kyle was leaving for other opportunities, but not planning to leave Ruston at this time..

same thing with Mawae in the recruiting living room. LSU needs to capitalize on it star veterans. BTW, he has forgotten more about great Oline play than our present Oline coach.

16-18 year olds with little to no ties to LSU aren’t going to be starstruck by this. They want to capitalize on who will pay the best and quickest route to the league. If Mawae was such a wanted coach, he’d be at a university or back in the league.

Just because he was an elite NFL player doesn’t mean he automatically can coach. A lot of great players aren’t good coaches because they can’t relate to the average player’s struggles. They don’t have the patience to teach. How many elite NFL players are on NFL coaching staffs? On college staffs?
Most of the time, college and pro coaches learn to coach in high school or lower college levels before they are made position coaches at the big college or pro levels. You have to learn how to coach in most classes, and you don’t learn at the top levels.
