Had a friend who graduated from A&M back in 1972. He’s nearly 73 years old and still wears his A&M class ring everyday. Lol

Most of Aggie fans prolly don’t even know their record. Jimbo says they good then they good Lol

Because they allow in ~LSU's entire enrollment for the student section, they're a far bigger school, they're a far better school (so more of their alumni can actually afford to go games consistently), they're the closest school to the city where most of their graduates actually work, they're the closest school to the 4th largest metro area in the country, and they're a cult to a level you don't see elsewhere (there are a ton of fairly sizeable businesses in Texas that only hire Aggies for some perspective).
But it's really mostly because they let in a metric frick ton of students every game. LSU would also be packed every game if LSU only had to sell ~60k tickets instead of ~97k.

We just got through Covid man. We’re coming back.
Side note: they haven’t killed the crowd involvement with piped in music over the chants.

A lot of what you say is true IMO w.r.t. A&M. But USCe had an amazing crowd vs A&M two weeks ago and almost none of what you write is applicable there. Neither of those schools have anywhere near our tradition nor are they in the midst of some magical season.
In my view, the business model our Admin works to is not about filling TS every game. I think they've moved on from that expectation. It's about profits and as long as that's happening we are "successful."
Also, consider that we have 4 SEC home games this year. of those four, only Bama will be a night game (State was 5PM KO so kinda a might game). That means for the 2022 season, we have one game that fits the classic TS night tradition.

Comparing the Roman Coliseum to a tackle box.

There's nothing better to do in College Station on Saturday night.

I am impressed that with being 3-4 they still have stands full.
This is rarely the case, if you've seen any other games.

I honestly feel like the GAMEDAY experience for lsu fans is all about tailgating and the game is a plus. I’ve been to multiple “big” games where I’ve watched people say, “well it’s that time” at half time, in close games. I’ll never understand it but it is what it is I guess..

Besides going to a bar, what else is there to do in BR on a Saturday night?

Their last championship was before wwII, regardless of the media hype this is where they are used to being and they have a loyal cult following.
This. Prior to 2003, our stadium was full capacity and menacing with annual mediocrity. After a few championships, most of the season tickets have been sold to companies that give their tickets away. That's why so many seats are empty for the crappy games, you can't hardly give those tickets away. Not the same loyalty of individual seat holders, but not the same level of expectations either. One loss and most LSU fans are screaming the sky is falling and all is lost. The stands need to be full for every SEC game regardless of record. As you can see, 2 losses and we're still in the hunt for Atlanta. Nothing is lost until it is. Everything still right in front of this team for the taking.

Just did some research on attendance for both stadiums. I looked at the records and attendance since 2014, which was when LSU and A&M expanded their stadiums according to the stated capacity. This is ONLY SEC home games.
Kyle Field Capacity = 106,511
Kyle Field Average Attendance = 102,945 (96.65 %)
Aggies Record in those games = 11 - 14
Tiger Stadium Capacity = 102,321
Tiger Stadium Average Attendance = 100,645 (98.36 %)
Tigers Record in those games = 18 - 9
Draw your own conclusions from this data.

For a team that is on a downward trend, that was one damn impressive crowd at Kyle Saturday night. In fact all things considered, I'm willing to concede that A&M has the best football atmosphere/environment going right now in the SEC.
It was a damn fine look for the conference as a whole.

Yeah, I have a friend that does that too. I get like 6 months or so but it’s weird. Imagine if they would have won some type of ring over there - scary
