Had he not sat out the first bowl game, then he would not have been around for this season, and we wouldn't have won half the games we did.

Nuss was hurt this season. It was obvious to anyone who watched him play this year. He had little to no velocity on his passes, which was a tremendous difference from his previous years.

He was also playing behind one of the worst O-lines any of us have ever seen outside of horrendous Vandy or Kentucky teams of the past.

Add to that the disarray on the coaching staff because of BK's complacency and it's a wonder we had a team on the field at all.

Ridiculous post.

Did you pay attention to his footwork? Because that's why his arm strength sucked, not because of some mysterious "injury" that even he denied.

Funny how after every hit he'd be right back on the field for the next play like nothing was wrong either.

What are you a qb mechanics expert now? Smh..ANY common fan who has watched LSU over the last 3 yrs, could see that Nuss was injured this yr. His velocity on the ball was down this yr. Compared to last yr. And don't give me that crap about footwork, cuz that didn't change. And it wasn't a mysterious injury, we knew he had a torso injury since fall camp! He never got healthy from it. He denied it because of BK continuing to play him instead of resting him and getting him healthy. BK knew he was on thin ice this yr, so he HAD to play his best qb, hurt or not. Nuss is a tough dude to play through that injury. You're just too blind and stupid to realize it

team player"?

If so why play when you are (?) hurt? Why keep the, reportedly, $4 mill for doing nothing...hurt or not!

IF HE WAS HURT that is one thing but CONSISTENTLY making bad decisions and wrong reads as well as taking too many sacks is another!

Glad he and his excuses are gone!

You idiots are insufferable! Of course Nuss is a team player. He kept playing through the injury because he was the best qb on the team, even hurt! And with that HORRENDOUS line, it doesn't matter if Burrow was back there!

If you really believe this, you're an idiot. Nuss didn't fake an injury, you moron, hes been injured since fall camp and never got healthy.

I hope Nuss lights it up at the Senior Bowl. Could show what could've been.

He needs to have a good game to get some good tape down.

He’s not a kid, he’s a professional athlete who just was not very good. LAU fans pay thousands of dollars to go to games and we should have a decent product on the field. This was not. I’ll never understand y’all love for a guy who quit on his team and the LSU fans.

He is not a professional athlete yet.

This has more to do with Coaching which is why that staff was fired. I'm a season ticket holder and will support the team whether they are good or bad. The frustration was more with the Coaches than the players. The product on the field was mainly due to Coaching.

He actually did not quit on his team. He came back for his senior season and did not transfer and chase $ when he had ample opportunities to do so. In this day and age when everyone complains about players not being loyal and transfer year in and year out you should respect players who stay. Did it work out this past season? No but that doesn't mean you can't respect that he stayed. And after he was sidelined he continued supporting the team and was there for all the activities, bowl prep, and bowl game. Did he perform at the level we expected? No but there was so much wrong with the offensive structure as a whole which is why MVB didn't have success and why the offensive staff was let go.

So again, this has nothing to do with anything other than respecting the player who stayed at LSU for 5 years and stayed multiple times when he could have transferred or gone pro after last season but came back to LSU for his love of the school and teammates.

I think he was hurt but made a ton of bad decisions and ultimately hurt our chances to win. Is he a true Tiger, absolutely. You can’t blame him for wanting to win, you blame the coaches for putting a hurt QB in harms way on every play. Terrible coaching. He should have been in a rotation with a mobile QB. So glad BK and the OC are gone. They are to blame not Nuss.

Those injuries that make guys throw into triple coverage and have no pocket presence are always the worst.
