That was true about 5 or 7 years ago but Mississippi has surpassed Louisiana in numerous things. That’s an old cliche “thank God for Mississippi”. Just isn’t true anymore.

Talking some smack. I don’t think K State is a great program. They have no recent championships and have not even won their conference recently. I think they need to spend less time licking frogs and tipping over cattle. LSU may not be great now, but there is no argument how great we were in 2021. K State suffers from extreme myopia.

I believe Kansas State is one of only a handful of Power 5 programs to never win a National Championship in any sport period. 1998 and 2012 still haunt them. That said, you have to respect their success under Snyder 1.0 & 2.0. He turned the equivalent of the University of Kansas now into a team that continually competed with OU/Texas/Nebraska in the 90s/2000s.
That thread is filled with a ton of sarcasm. I think anyone who goes to Houston and interacts with the KSU fans will find them incredibly cordial and knowledgeable and far more similar to LSU fans than their enemies in Lawrence. KSU is an Ag school with a blue collar demographic. My best friend was a 5 year guy and I've brought him and multiple of his former teammates to BR for LSU games. They all love it. The KSU fans are a far more fun and I think you will find the KSU fans far more enjoyable than if the game was basketball or football vs KU.

This is not entirely true. The good people here in Omaha love LSU (especially baseball) and its fans. They hate it almost as much as we do when the baseball team doesn't make it here in June. Always say, 'The CWS just isn't the same without LSU here'. Pretty much every time I wear my LSU gear around town, I always get a 'Geaux Tigers!' or three. LSU and LSU fans are very much loved and respected here.
