It was regional recruiting. Most of them were from Georgia, North and South Carolina. They weren’t from Texas, California or Florida. LSU does the same with recruiting from neighboring Texas.

More of Saban's LA associates coming out of the woodwork like pubic lice.

It doesn't matter what people's opinions mean in the least bit. Win on the field and you will be thought of accordingly. They're kind of right.... until we start contending nationally(meaning beating highly ranked teams more than losing to them)we are what we are. A Top 35 team, not a top 5 team.. Very simple. Some LSU fans want to live on reputation only, without winning big games....

So nothing he says is valid and LSU's ship is headed in the right direction?
It's strange because he and almost every national writer says LSU is headed in the wrong direction.

Heck, they would just mail it in before the season.

And probably still be able to win as many games as the current coaching staff.

Why don’t you fricking ****s give him a chance to show his worth.

Loss to MSU, loss to Troy, last years recruiting class one of the lower rated in the last 18 years, players getting in trouble with more frequency, commitment to the team issues (Arden Key), cannot convince players who eventually go undrafted to stay another year (clapp, tolliver), loss in his first bowl game as a head coach, the whole OC flop from last year with Canada, and replacing that OC with an OC that has no proven success nor is elite.

You’d have to blind or in denial to see that things are definitely not trending in right direction now and there isn’t much there to hang your hat on for O.

last season
Bad as Troy and MSU losses were (worse than bad), to me the most telling loss last year was to ND in the bowl. That we lost, and how we lost, cannot help but be in the same sour batch as 1/9/12. A lot less, but a lot was still riding on a win for LSU. And it just didn’t happen.

I want to believe... but there is a lot of lost ground to recover. And in a hurry.

I have supported O even though I didn’t like the hire. But he keeps showing that this is too much for him.

Really? Coach O gets as much respect as POTUS does in the liberal media with his booming economy and low unemployment numbers! Coach O has done a masterful job of going out and acquiring talent on the open market to address this teams shortcomings. Miles would have remained status quo and we would of had a really bad outcome. Now weather that infuse of talent is enough, only time will tell. But you have to give Coach O credit for being proactive in addressing team needs immediately. This demonstrates he has a handle on this job and is addressing the needs as best as he can with the limitations in college football.

Nail meet hammer! It boggles the mind to think that the LSU leadership believed the best path for its FB program was to hire a journeyman DL coach as HC.

To think we had Saban who resurrected LSU football to now we have Yaw Yaw and expectations of a 7-5 season. And many O lovers are fine with that.

I watched LSU, with a depleted roster, come one game from winning the West last year.
