I'm a tad underwhelmed 4 games in.

OM O seems tailor-made for a break-out game for deuce-deuce. I can't wait to see him flip the switch.

We’re about to find out how good Fulton is. The Ole Miss receivers are above average. They will test him.

He played sparingly his first year
Sat out all last year
He's know different than any other young player at this point
With game reps he will get better

It might surprise some, but if you weight out the PFF grades for Greedy and Fulton the first 4 games, they are extremely close to one another. Both of their best games were against Auburn though.

Greedy is just ahead of Fulton grade wise, very close though.

Terrence Alexander also is right behind Fulton, with Vincent and Joseph significantly worse than those 3 above.

Isn't this the guy who thought his college career was over and the press had him going straight to the pros? Time to live up to the hype...same goes for Jonathan Giles.

I don't think above average explains that bunch of receivers very well. They'll test our entire secondary and not just Fulton. Those guys are outstanding. A.J. Brown is a potential 1st rounder and Lodge and Metcalf aren't exactly slouches. I'm not saying that our secondary can't handle it or anything but calling them above average isn't exactly a good description. That offense is no joke when they get it going.

Fulton hasn’t been bad, he’s just been targeted a lot since Greedy is on the other side

More targeting= more opportunities. I haven't seen him get flat-out torched or even way out of pos. Just kind of "safe" in his coverage. I want to see his h-badgerness.

If we play them like we played La Tech, it's gonna be a long night.

Do you have a link to the grades or can you post them?

I tried looking on pff and their website is one giant ad.

You can't bring this to the rant, who believe if you catch a pass on a DB he sucks. LSU has had an elite level secondary for years now, and every single year there is a DB who the rant loves to hate. That's simply because we usually have one totally shut down guy, and the other corner gets way more targets. Catch a few passes, and the rant bashes that person. Its been this way for years. This year Fulton is the guy, even though Joseph has looked much worse in his limited action.

Coaches watch him daily and know him way better than we ever will.

If they say he’s our best option at cb#2, I trust them.

Plus he simply hasn’t seen that much action and has a super high ceiling. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him improve substantially as the season progresses.

Fulton was fine against Miami and Auburn....just like the rest of our entire team he was suspect against SLU and Tech. Now if he were the only one that was worst against the cupcakes I would say it was his problem....BUT the fact is our entire team and coaching staff was bad against SLU and Tech.

So he's played in a grand total of about 5 games in his career right? And you mean to tell me he hasn't lived up to the ridiculous expectations set by you dumb asses in here?

I can say the same thing for Joe Burrow.

They might not be young in terms of classification, but these guys don't have any meaningful playing time in their careers. Typical Rant though. Let's fricking bash our own because 5 games in you're not looking at Drew Brees or Patrick Peterson.

Well, he'll get beat, just as the NFL corners will get beat by these Ole Miss receivers. It's more about fooling them with coverages and getting to the QB. And win some of the jump balls.

We had no pass rush against SLU and LaTech. We need the pass rush to help the DB's against Ole Miss
