They are both LEGIT 5-tool players but Kling may have a higher frame and is slightly faster. Crews is best player in the game right now. But you can see Kling has the potential to be better than Crews in a year or two and that is wild af to think about lol

Future is bright this freshman class is unreal

Kling

Jones

Kling won’t be here in two years. Enjoy him this year and next year because that’s all we’re getting.

Imagine what these guys and this season will do for recruiting.

I mean, recruiting hasn't been a problem at LSU since 2008. It's been injuries.

Paul has his hands all over this team in terms of getting them on campus.

Kling is 5 tool like Crews but he ain’t Crews. The Marucci hitting lab evaluates players on multiple variables and of all the players they evaluated (pros included), Crews had the highest smash factor meaning he hits the ball consistently harder than anyone they’ve evaluated. Not to downgrade Kling, but that is not him.

2+ years of " Is Crews possibly the best Tiger ever" threads... now what are we in store for with the next group? and, already?

Edit: I did have a very similar thought watching Kling run, catch and hit so far in as much as comparing him to a very nice 5 tool like Crews

Yea, he out performed Paul Goldschmidt at the facility who just had the best year of his career…..

Jones probably has the closest raw power to him. Jones was all over the leaderboard in exit velo for the draft combine as a HS kid. He’s also a freakishly large person so it’s not exactly surprising.

Crews is a spectacular CF. He gets fantastic reads on flyballs, takes great angles, closes with speed, and makes the extended catches. He has a great arm, too. A true 5 tool player. He will be an All Star in MLB. How in the world did we get this guy for three years?

Lol nah, not yet I can't

I don't see any of the balls coming off his bat leaving at 110+ mph
