a few minutes ago during OSU-IU broadcast

What a crock of shite. Solely meant to drive viewership up. Repeated the "teams improve most between game 1 and 2" cliche and then said BYU showed some pizzazz last weekend.

He also said he's excited to see Matt Canada's offense with all the athletic ability we have

What do you want him to say? "Don't tune in, it's going to be a blowout?"

And when BYU is up 10-7 in the middle of the second quarter, this board will be in nuclear meltdown mode.

I'd like him to be objective and truthful and not sugercoat BYU's performance last weekend.

And yes, it would have been professional for him to bring up the talent gap and point out how good the coordinators are.

It's his job to entice people to watch the games broadcasts on ESPN and ABC. I also don't think it's that absurd to warn not to sleep on BYU.

I imagine LSU beats byu by 10, but if we come out flat and they come out juiced up, it will be a scrappy game.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least. It also would surprise me to be more like 27-24

It's one of the interesting matchups in a great Saturday of matchups. New OC for Lsu is intriguing to people due to Lsu struggles over the years offensively. Byu had a good team last year and tanner was damn good as a freshman. He sat a year so I imagine he's gonna be better week 2. He's just talkin up the game. Hell man that's his job. And I'm
Not sleeping on em. I think this is a perfect first game for us. Glad it's not ulm or someone like that. Good test for us and if we win a close one I won't lose confidence that we can still have a good year. Byu with that qb and the success byu had last season wo Him deserves respect.

Just once I'd like to hear Herbie refer to LSU as "a damn strong football team".

I see Kirk Herbstet as a solid analyst, knowledgeable, loves the game, loves Ohio State but limits his bias, and yes, he jumped the gun on the Miles thing but everyone makes mistakes and we never know how much of it is from ESPN pushing them into breaking news.

Kirk is the face of college football. Doesn't matter if he's wrong. I love gameday and sec gameday and Kirk and the crew really took gameday to heights they had never seen

I hope the team is confident, but not overly so.

Also:

I must have missed that part
