Stingley = highest rated CB 247 has ever had.

Gilbert = highest rated TE 247 has ever had.

its a reach but with any luck we could have an offensive version of this conversation next year.

What?

Every single year the best corner back in college would have also been an nfl starter. For example, the first 7 corners taken in last years drsft all were first year starters.....

This years best cornerback happens to be Stingley. Once again, nothing I have said is a hot take. Sorry you are butthurt about something

It’s like you didn’t even read the 2nd paragraph.

LOL, I’m not butthurt about anything.

You made a hot take supported by horrible logic that doesn’t even make bad sense and tried to act like it wasn’t a hot take.

You do that often. That was my only point.

I would have no problem with your post if this was true, but that’s not at all what you did. Let me help you understand.

You said Stingley would’ve started for pretty much every NFL team LAST year. Then, to support this conclusion, you claimed that the best CB in college always goes straight to starting in the NFL.

You don’t have to be in Mensa to see how ridiculous your argument is.

First of all, Stingley wasn’t a college football All American prior to the 2019 draft. He was a senior in high school. I can’t even believe I have to point this out.

Let’s set that aside for a moment though. Help me understand how it follows that if the best college CB starts immediately in the NFL the following year that it also means that they could start for nearly EVERY NFL team? Is that really true, or could it be possible that the top CB usually gets drafted by a shitty team that has a need at CB?

There are many people making sound arguments about Stingley’s ability to play in the NFL immediately. You’re not one of them.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable at all. Most mocks have Okudah and Simmons going 3rd, like it’s a toss up between the two. Stingley is a better prospect than Okudah, was a better player this season as a true freshman. It a team is debating between Okudah and Simmons at 3, Stingley would absolutely be in that conversation.

NFL is a mans league.
Another year or so, sure.

You are correct but got downvoted like you would have said Joe Burrow sucked by the rantards.
I listened to a radio interview of Stingley's dad about 3 weeks ago. The elder Stingley laughed at the notion of young Sting playing in the NFL and basically said that he wasn't ready to play with grown arse men yet.

Said that there is huge difference in the physicality and speed of the game and that young Sting needed both physical and mental maturation before being ready to make the jump. His dad is a former player and coach in case anyone doesn't know.

Well I think he means that the nfl would take into account his age. For example LF7 would probably be a more valued pick after his sophomore than junior year because age is taken into account

think Stingley is the fricking man, but I can't see him being taken over the top 3 projected right now.

Top 5, I think there is definitely an argument, especially with the way he performed
Potato Potato what's the difference in 2 more picks? It wasn't worth mentioning.
