And please explain how under Russian law, an accident exempts someone from the repercussions of their actions.
I didn't say she should be exempt. I said she didn't choose to break the law (where I was responding to a comment that said she chose to break the law).

Why do we even ask political questions in press conferences concerning sports?
It wasn't political it was a question about a former player.

Y’all can say whatever you want, but the way Mulkey is handling this is stupid. Just saw something nice and that you hope she gets back soon, why act like a dickhead about it? All it does is give you bad press and make you look bad. If it wasn’t for Griner, Mulkey may not be here and would have a different reputation. Maybe have some sympathy for a former player who helped you get a multi million dollar contract instead of acting like a c-u-next-Tuesday.

Another dumbass. She can know all the laws in the world but if she was in a rush and packed something "accidentally" that she would otherwise know would be illegal. Then it wasn't a choice, it was a fricking accident. Sheesh, talk about some Dilberts in here. Once again for all you in-breds that can't read. I'm not saying she's innocent. I'm saying it wasn't her choice to break the law.

Lol. Why are your panties in such a bunch sweet heart?

You’re wasting your time trying to argue that it was an “accident” because it doesn’t matter. I concede to the point that it’s a possibility that she didn’t know it was in her bag, but I don’t believe that’s the case. It’s a moot point regardless because she’s still accountable for what’s in her bag.

No supporting an American athlete who hates America is a threat to this country… she broke the law of a foreign country now she must suffer the consequences… quit taking up for people who break the law and especially ones who hate the country they live in…. People like you are what will cause this country to fall to communism!

All you have to offer is personal attacks. Nothing else you’ve added to this discussion is qualitative at all. You should take a time out until you can meaningfully contribute.

So, somebody held a gun to her head and said:

1. Go play basketball in Russia where tensions between the US and Russia are almost at Cold War level high
2. Bring a vape with THC into Russia (or whatever it was that she had)

It really wasn't her choice? Come on. And you might want to put the brakes on calling people "dilberts" and "inbreds" and "dumbass" when you make such a stupid fricking comment.

Let me clear it up for the cupcakes. I don't take joy in any American being in a foreign jail. That being said I'm not as invested when a woke America hating left wing snowflake with an overinflated ego because she gets paid to play basketball that no one watches gets arrested for breaking the laws in a foreign country. Maybe she will learn to appreciate what she has here. Kim Mulkey has every right not to comment on it again.

It's not just that he/she/they whatever it is throws out personal attacks. It's that if you really try to follow the logic and the points that it makes, there's no way it should be calling somebody else dumb. Because its logic really is dumb and follows the logic that a child would make.

It isn't on the Google machine, but it will be out soon enough. Gusters isn't on the LSU website roster.

But like I said in the other thread, the woke Twitter mob is going to see that Gusters is off the roster and assume (which they are good at--ASSUMING) that Gusters left because of Mulkey's no-comment on Griner, when in actuality Gusters is gone for a multitude of other issues which have nothing to do with that.

And for fun, Gusters is retweeting the hell out of everything she can find on Twitter that trashes Mulkey. So I say good riddance to her big, out of shape arse.

Gusters has been trashing Kim on her social media since she got suspended in December and has been playing the mental health card since. She got suspended AGAIN this summer and was not even at the practice prior to Kim even making those remarks.

She even claimed being told she needs to get into better shape was "abuse"

frick I accidentally upvoted this post.

But to answer your question, no, I don't think black female basketball players will be overrepresented in that 1%. In fact, I actually think it's incredibly racist for you to assume that someone is more likely to fall into that group think just because they're a black woman.

In the end, she is a US citizen who is being imprisoned on bs charges and used as a political pawn by an authoritarian government. If they can do it to her, they can do it to all of us. I fail to see why so many don’t understand that.

Cannot do it to me. I have no desire to go to Russia and if I did I sure as hell would not possess contraband. Her fault not ours. I fail to see why you do not under stand THAT!!!!

You so sure they can’t do it to you? Why don’t you test it? Fly into Russia, stay for a day, and fly out. It will all be fine, I’m sure, because you won’t have any illegal contraband on you.
But the truth is that you will never do that because you know deep down that there is a chance that the Russian government will detain you on false charges given the current political environment. And if you don’t believe that’s a possibility, then you need to open a damn history book.
