Some commentator on ESPN radio said he was going to have a hard time rooting for LSU with Kiffin as head coach.

Hey a-hole…. It’s not your job to root for a team, that’s what fans are for. Also, we don’t give a shite if you root for LSU or not!

Have a tad of awareness or perspective. Almost any other coach gets the benefit of the doubt when it comes to NCAA scheduling/calendar issues. Lane's history means he is never going to get that grace. Especially now. And your whole fanbase's "He could NEVER win a championship in Oxford!!!" rationale has come a cropper. They're a game against a very beatable Miami team from being in the NC game.

Every two bit podcaster using audio equipment at their public library has weighed in on this. So many of the responses are from Ole Miss fans that don’t seem to know much about college football, just branding and Solo cups. It’s crazy-ex level outrage and they keep perpetuating Keith Carter’s narrative without questioning whether or not it even makes any sense: Kiffin Bad. LSU Bad. Ole Miss Victim. Send staff to coach/tamper with our players.

Even when Saban left, we still gave him recognition for changing the culture and overhauling our football program. That’s not happening in Oxford, and it’s not going to.

That’s a straw man.

OM was already in the playoff and hosting a round 1 game when this all went down.

The argument for leaving for LSU was that it is a better job to consistently compete for championships.

It was clear he had a chance to win a championship this year. That’s exactly why it was such a big deal to the national media that he was leaving in the midst of that type of run.

But if it takes him six years to make the playoff in Baton Rouge, well, he will be fired before it gets to that point, because it is objectively more attainable at LSU than it is at Ole Miss.

It really isn’t hard to understand to those that don’t just want to argue.

You say it "took him 6 years" in Oxford. Are you saying the NIL/portal landscape was the same in 2019 as it is today? Is that really your contention? That in no way are the conditions different so that teams that were once at a supposed disadvantage now can rebuild/build a champion contender much easier and quicker? Apparently, it is hard to understand because you damned sure didn't.

It’s not just an SEC issue people are fixated on this coast to coast. It’s bizzare.

I traveled to California last week

People there like Lane…from USC days

Alabama fans I ran into after the game

I imagine it's the same way that we feel about Saban.

I get why they are ticked, they are looking at NC and he left them high and dry

I think it’s LSU fans loving the roll of being a victim syndrome.

You make it to the final four, you’ve got a shot. It is the height of intellectual dishonesty to say a major program from a premier conference that makes it that far can “NEVER win a national championship!”

OM is not a major program and they will not win the title

TCU made the championship game a few years ago, weird stuff happens. LSU is still a much better job

You have to admire a guy who quits on his team in the midst of a playoff run. LOL

Ole Miss in the SEC is magnitudes better of a program than TCU. LSU is just degrees better than OM. OM is fully capable of cashing in all the chips in today's NIL/portal atmosphere.

I found it weird that there is constant hate coming from conservative commentators including the ones on Fox. It's a bizarre hate pile-up. Evidently, Lane moves the monetization needle.
