No wonder with the temperament of a three-year old, poor Lane struggles for attention and relevance! Nobody seems to seriously mention his name for any major NCAA football openings lately.... such wasted talent, such a waste of opportunities, but who is to blame?

of course his age isnt the only reason but you dont understand the retread nature of cfb if you think a 55 year old miles with the same resume couldn't get a job. youd have a point if miles wouldnt be the 2nd 64 year old in decade to get hired at a new job for a p5 program.

In 1989 Steve Spurrier was 44. He did bring Duke a conference championship. Still one of the biggest accomplishments in Coaching History. Can’t wait to see what Kiffin does in 2019 at the age of 44 . “ try again “. By the way he won his first conference championship as a HC at the age of 42 and would have won his first power 5 conference championship as a HC at the age of 36 but for an NCAA appeals committee ruling.

i dismiss facts?
he was fired in the nfl.
he made a 2 game difference at Tenn.
he was decent at usc intil Pete Carroll boys left and then he was a failure by starting the season #1 i the country and finishing unranked. he then proceeded to suck at the beginning of the next year and was fired.
at no point has he won a conf title as a head coach.
at no point has he proven to be a good head coach.
by age 44 Spurrier had proven ge was a good head coach.
and no Spurrier wasnt the talker at Duke that he was at Florida. Did he talk? some.
at 44 he had won a conf title with duke and had 2 acc Coach of the year awards.
let me know when Lane kiffen takes a shite program and wins a p5 conf title in the next 2 years.

Your really trying my patience. First of all you didn’t say p5 conference. You said he hasn’t won a conference title and that is just factually incorrect.
Now I didn’t even address this silly idea that in 1989 that the ACC would be considered a P5 level. Maybe you have heard of the pac ten ,the big ten ,the big 8 , the SEC and the SWC. All way ahead of the ACC and then if you put on top of them the “ independents of the day like PITT , Penn State and ND , Miami FSU and consider them a conference The acc would have been the 7th best conference of its time. They edged Virginia for the title I believe.
Again big accomplishment at 44 for the HBC cause Duke is Duke . Major Props.
Call me when Kiffin is 44 and we will compare again. Ciao

went from #1 to unranked at usc and then had a bad start the next year.
he has literally accomplished nothing as a head coach except a mid major conf title.

Kiffen is a jerk. Everybody knows that Coach Miles will be snapped up by another program five minutes after he's no longer at LSU.
