Well it doesn't take any great deduction to conclude if you are SLOW, Run Fewest Plays, Score Fewest Pts, and have HUGE TOP that your PPP sucks...1/2 of ALA, 1/3 of CLEM.

LSU keeps churning out good ratings according to the stats, but the advanced stats are wrong. LSU has not had a productive offense.

The Offensive Identity and Play Calling has stifled the team.

The pace in recent years has become positively glacial. The past three seasons, LSU has been one of the slowest teams in the nation, taking over 200 fewer offensive snaps than the average team. Fewer bites out of the apple on offense is insane because you have to run plays to score points.

in 2015 we finished above bama ohio state , and fsu in ppg and ypg.

we finished top 40 in ppg 7 of miles 11 years. not elite but by no means horrible.

if you hated Miles' ppg output you must really hate 2017 ppg output.

9 out of 11 seasons we had a higher ppg than 2017.

2 of miles last 5 years we were top 10 in ppp and 3 times top 20.

4 times we finished top 10 in ppp

No, not true for ALA, OSU, CLEM. You are getting lost in the statistical weeds. Nonetheless, we won nothing, not even a NY6 Bowl because....

The goal is points. And LSU, this decade, has finished in the top 25 nationally in points just twice (17th in 2011 and 23rd in 2013).

So back to the premise of this thread: Kiffin jokes about Miles and LSU not Scoring Pts. FAU was 3rd in the Nation in PPG in Conference Play, 45.4, vs LSU 26 PPG or 71st. His point, though offensive to some, was dead on.

again. 7 times in the top 40.

in 2015 we had higher points per game and yards per game than Bama, ohio state and fsu.

youre using stats. so you dimiss stats that dont support your stances?

nd LSU, this decade, has finished in the top 25 nationally in points just twice (17th in 2011 and 23rd in 2013).

YOURE GETTING LOST IN THE STATS.

here let me help you.....

if you want to argue LSU's ineptness on offense, argue about yards per game.

also, you post....

and when i post statistical facts proving you wrong, you say I'm getting lost in stats.
you started this back and forth with stats

How many of those schools have ever hired a 64 yr. old?? In fact, how many 64 yr. olds have been hired in college football anywhere in the last 5 yrs?

Add in bout 5 more yrs. making $133,000 a month and you have to be sports mentally challenged not be able to see the big picture here, but each to our own.

Miles is a better coach than Kiffin and an infinitely better human being.

Lame Kiffin a/k/a Joey Freshwater can go eat a bag of dicks. Look, while I like Miles, it was time for him to go. I also am not a Nick Saban fan, but, frankly, by his hiring Kiffin he revived his career and made him a viable commodity. Let's review Lame's resume: wasn't he fired by the Oakland Raiders? Two: hired by Tennessee, fricked them over and left for USC. Three: fired by USC, got them into NCAA trouble. Hired by Saban, by all accounts, did a good job as their OC. Now the HC of a nondescript team. Hey, good on him, he's a head coach, but in my opinion has no business ridiculing Les Miles or Nick Saban for that matter. He's a tool, pure and simple.

I said in my post that it was time for miles to go when he did, so i would not call myself a “milestard” as you put it. But to look at what he did in his entire tenure at lsu and say such things is very ignorant.

It doesn't matter whether Kiffin was talking about Miles or someone else, the guy is an a-hole with a big old ego. It hasn't served him very well in the past and if he keeps it up, it may cause him problems again. Honestly, I hope it does.

Saban barely let the guy speak publicly for a reason.

I've never been a Kiffin hater, like a lot of people I know. However, to associate Miles with Sandusky, shows how wrong I was about that.

I never liked kiffin but he reminds me of spurrier the way he takes shots at other teams. Im starting to want him somewhere in the sec. would be fun.

Hope he takes the Vanderbilt job.

It actually would be fun watching him get his teeth kicked in every year.

You give Lane too much credit as a coach and underestimate him as a world class immature narcissist.

Time will tell. But Spurrier was exactly Lanes age now when he took his Head Coaching job at Duke

At that time Spurrier was 35-19 in the USFL. Kiffin is currently 45 - 24 in college and 5-15 in the NFL.

Spurrier and Kiffin have the same type of aggressive sarcastic approach to talking about others.

They are both offensive geniuses. They both wear visors. They both carry a play sheet

The major difference best I can tell is lane is known to be a Hound Dog and I don’t recall Spurrier having that reputation.

The similarities are far more than not. It is impossible to say if Kiffin will for sure do what Spurrier did at Duke while he is at Florida Atlantic ( not a bad start ) and get his big opportunity at a school and then do what Spurrier did at Florida. But I would bet money that he will if he gets the chance.

Someone will give him a chance.
