1. Establish the running game.
2. Eliminate Turnovers
3. Eliminate Drops
4. Play D like you did against Florida

Receivers - catch the fricking ball and don't fumble it.
O Line - block.
O Line - block.

Keep Les away from the offense
Lock Miles and Stud in the broom closet and let Krags try his hand at calling the plays.

Did we stop catching passes in practice?

I'd say
1- Catch the football.
2- Hold onto the football. (sometimes you just have to want it more than the other guy like on the strip of Beckham).
3- Keep penalties to a minimum.
These 3 things, as simple as they sound make a hell of a difference in a SEC football game.

We're going to have to figure out ways to get mismatches against their defense and not let them exploit our glaring weakness' on offense. This line is blocking as well as it's going to the rest of the year due to injury and players being forced out of position... That being said as these coaches get paid very well to coach they need to come up with ways to play to what strengths we do have on offense. They're not going to be able to be the power run the ball down your throat team they were even in the begining of this year because they aren't the same team. As soon as Miles realizes that and quits being so stubborn we will be much more competitive offensively... The keys of not fumbling and catching the ball are obvious but what's even more obvious is that with an injured O-line, inexperienced QB, and inconsistant production at WR that D-cor's have caught up to Les and his scheme is no longer effective.

I agree and to add, at least try some different formations that make the opposing defense defend the entire field.
For example, we need to stop bunching everyone in. I cannot stand when we run a guy in motion, we run him into an already bunched formation. Run him in motion to get a defender or two out of the box. We have to think outside the "box" on offense to win any games against a good defense.

Call the toss play into the teeth of their defense.

this thread depressed me... it really does suck watching our offense run goalline formations in the 1st quarter to start drives

Go ahead and mark this down for every game this year:
1) establish the run
2) don't turn the ball over
3) reduce penalties
4) no major injuries
If we do those we win and if not we lose. Wash, rinse, repeat.
And for anyone who rolls their eyes at No. 1. Deal with it. Les is not going to come out and start throwing the ball. Just hope that we run the ball better.

Win with defense & special teams. If the O can just get a couple of 1st downs on their possessions, give the D a breather, we may get a punt return or win with some field goals. If GA couldn't move the ball, I can't see how LSU does. Strange things can happen but on paper, too much on the + side for the Cocks.

Don't throw Magee in there and act surprised when the play is sniffed out before the ball is even snapped.

The Gamecocks plane develops engine trouble and has to land in Oxford MS.
Then Enterprise is all out of rentals, sausage festival or something. And you know that Greyhound is always late.
The Gamecocks miss the opening kickoff time, forfeit the game and all is well in Tiger Stadium.
It could happen.

We (UGA) tend to make average teams look world class. If ya'll dont turnover the ball LSU wins! Your defence will be the difference! Good Luck!

I don't think anyone thinks we're about to become an air show becuase right now we can't catch the ball well enough to anyway but, Les's old scheme ain't gonna work right now for various reasons and I just pray he's not to stubborn to realize this.

The best way to beat the cocks is pound them until they puke, then they will be soft and easy to handle.

Catch the football. Have more than one receiver in the route especially if its a slow arse fullback.
