It’s like no one in here watched the Super Regional last season. They only said about 50 times that him and Jay Johnson are old friends
Does that somehow make what he said not accurate?

Mingione went for today. He started a midweek guy (Smith) and went to two of his best relievers (Hogan and Hummel) after that and got 5 good innings. He then brought in his #2 (Niman) to start the 7th down 2-0 and then went to reliever (O’Brien) that he has used the most before the fellas busted it open. He finally conceded in the 8th using a kid that hasn’t been used

I Like this guy!
I’m rooting for Kentucky baseball from here on when they’re not playing LSU.
Wes Johnson and UGA… no.

I hope Wes Johnson was taking some notes.

Our team cut its teeth early on against some tough SEC pitching and hitting squads. They improved, lost some close winnable games, and then something clicked. Ride it Tigers until it throws you, then ride it again.
