I don’t care how many posts you have made or how long you have been on TD you have to be one of the biggest idiots on this board. That take is so far base its laughable

Book wasn’t a bad QB at all. He was actually quite good by his senior year and improved over the course of his career at ND. He wasn’t an issue, because he was obviously the best guy they had at the time. That was certainly evident by how ND’s QB situation played out last year.

If anything, the issue for Kelly at ND was QB recruiting. He never signed a guy anywhere close to the talent level of Daniels (he was very highly rated as a dual-threat out of HS) or Howard at ND. As long as he can keep consistently bringing in this level of talent via recruiting and the portal, what we saw from his QBs at ND won’t be an issue here.

and was good enough to be drafted in the middle of the NFL draft.

He had a 6th round to UDFA grade but Payton loved to draft QBs early that reminded him of himself.

He had a bad game, all QBs do.

Not an NFL starter, but could make millions wearing a ball cap and carrying an IPAD on the sidelines.....

Shouldn't that be a positive for a coach? I mean if the dude sucks so much yet he won the most there?

I do hope he attracts far superior QBs at LSU. I believe he already has.

This is a weak arse anti-Daniels thread, OP is just too big a bitch to say what he means.
I was waiting for somebody to figure it out before I said anything. He's been whining about Daniels for a while now. This is more of the same.

I think you fail to realize how much better the NFL (even preseason NFL) is from College Football (even the SEC).

NFL is the greatest collection of world class athletes on the planet. CFB isn't close.

He had 10X the liability. There, fixed it for you.

Yeah this is one of the knocks on BK ...he never developed or had his OCdevelop a legit QB. If BK can find a Joe Brady/ensminger type OC then he might strike gold. If not we’ll be watching Ian books and Everett golsons..

That’s funny, I remember Deshon Kizer being drafted in the second round. Usually you do pretty well in college to be drafted that high. You would first have to remove your head from your arse to see clearly though.

With all the successful seasons Saban had, how many top NFL QB'S did he produce.

This is one of the worst takes/posts I've ever seen. And the fact that there are now currently 19 upvotes just reminds me why you should never take this site seriously, and also just how many complete morons are on here.

Ian Book was a decent college QB. I wouldn't say he was a great college QB.
He had enough potential to get drafted mid round in draft but as far as college only he was average to me.
NFL alot of times will draft guys based on potential not performance.
