This guy is garbage, yet he was BK’s guy. Does this concern anyone else when it comes to our QB competition?
Specifically I’m concerned with valuing flashy play over fundamentals, which is what I’ve always seen in Book. With our receiving corps we need a guy with solid footwork who can stand in the pocket and distribute the ball to our playmakers.

Book was a good college QB and was good enough to be drafted in the middle of the NFL draft. Think Kelly judged him pretty okay.

Ian Book was a pretty good college QB. I dont give a flip what they do at the next level if they win here.

Not only was Book a good college QB, but he beat us in a bowl game as well.

Book’s numbers were pretty great and he took ND to the playoffs 2 of the 3 seasons he started.

Didn’t Book win more games than any other ND QB? Dude won 30 games or more and I believe threw more TD’s or was 2nd in school history. I might have even sat in the cold and watched Book beat us. I don’t know who was QB for ND that day. I do remember we lost.

Yeah this is one of the knocks on BK ...he never developed or had his OCdevelop a legit QB. If BK can find a Joe Brady/ensminger type OC then he might strike gold. If not we’ll be watching Ian books and Everett golsons..
