I think ther have as good a shot as anyone else...Jimbo is a good coach, they have one hell of a population base to recruit from, and they have basically the best facilities that money can buy. Sooner or later, they will get lucky and get the right combination of it all.

Going into year three and currently getting owned on the recruiting trail. 4 of their top instate prospects on their board have committed elsewhere.....LSU,TEXAS,TENN,and the TE they wanted announced for MIAMI today.....

Not going too good for them so far...

Sounds like Mond just woke up from a wet dream. Always wanting to be just like LSU.

Oh no, the quarterback of another team thinks they may be good and doesn’t concede a loss to LSU!!! Of course he fricking thinks that—he should think that. Doesn’t mean it will happen, but at least he’s out there trying to do the damn thing. The fact that this is a thread on here is fricking embarrassing.

Is this the same Kellen Mond that claimed he was the best QB in the SEC last offseason?

As an early enrollee, Mond went into his JR season with 3 Springs in Fisher’s offense and 23 starts under his belt and didn’t have as good a season as Burrow did in 2018 when he showed up for summer camp with players he didn’t know, didn’t have a chemistry with, zero career starts and a conservative LSU offensive scheme.

That will never happen, that kid is worst than Brandon Harris on his best day. He is not loose enough when he plays. His feet and his arm motion needs to be better and have better awareness around him to be an 11 plus win team in one season. The dude will never get there as long as he is the starter under Jimbo.

I don't see why this is being made into such a big deal.

He's their returning starting QB, would you not demand that he be optimistic and positive about the upcoming season?
And look at their schedule: if they can win at Auburn (something they've done a good bit), they really SHOULD be 10-0 going into the Bama and LSU games.

This is Jimbo's 3rd year, his system should be in place. If he's ever going to do it, next year would be his best chance.

Now, I think A&M goes 0-2 to close out the regular season. But I can't fault them for wanting to win.

That includes a 50-7 blowout defeat to LSU, but Mond also was part of a seven-overtime win over the Tigers in 2018, so he saw the leap they took firsthand.

Yeah right, ESPN, that wasn't a seven-overtime win. That was a complete and utter rip off!

You didn't beat LSU. The refs stole the game away from LSU and then gave it to A&M.

Kellen Mond is a lot of things. A Joe Burrow type elite QB isn't one of them. What a waste of very valuable bandwidth.

Of course he does. His fatal flaw is here s very very low self awareness. Those folks always are delusional and over confident, leaving them unable to truly grow.
