I watched the interview after reading this thread. I don't think the amount of criticism is actually fair.

I still look forward to watching him play once he gets healthy. I don't think the comment was as much of "screw the team". It was more of "guys in my class that are going pro after this year have one more chance to have a great season for LSU as the last 2 were not" should've worded it better.

You are correct about the battered woman known as Jordy Culotta. That group over there is the biggest bunch of fatalistic soy boys that I have ever heard in my life. I did make it a point to tune in and hear him eat his crow on WW. They operate on very little fact and tons of feelings. Like listening to a bunch of teenage girls adjusting to starting their first cycles.

How the majority of these "LSU Shows" ever got going I will never know. I've not heard one broadcast yet, that didn't sound like a bunch of frat boys hanging in the locker room, or someone constantly patting themselves on the back about "I told you so!". Just pitiful options.

It wasn’t that bad. Kayshon needs to get healthy and get back in shape.

Kelly said...
“I would say I know his last name right now," Kelly said on Wednesday when asked about his relationship with Boutte. "I say that only because we are in that process of … he’s re-engaging. He’s been injured. He’s had a second surgery. But, we are getting more acquainted every day.

“Look, he’s a great player. He’s a good kid. But this has been a rough spot for him. What happens is you tend to get distracted because you are not involved in everything. He’s learning that he has to be involved in everything whether you are injured or not. That’s a process he’s going through. And we are seeing some really good changes.”

I take it that you didn’t read the text messages released to the public in the Watson case?

I think everybody is blowing this out of proportion. I just think the guy is incapable of articulating anything. He shouldn’t be doing interviews

Listened to both Kyren and Kayshon segments, + Kelly's take on Bech. I will be surprised if Bech and Kyren aren't leading the receivers group this season. Kayshon is a dynamic player but don't see him as a vocal leader and hopefully the mad dash to the NFL subsides.

After Kelly’s press conference today and his statements on Boutte, it sounds like Kelly is meeting this mindset head on and if you want to fight him you can get the frick out because that’s not going to be his program’s mindset.
Kayshon might be movin on down the road before too long.

I don't think BK is going to have much tolerance for the "Me Firsters" still languishing in the program......

Are we not going to talk about how fricking awkward that set up was? They were just looking forward and never looking at each other or even looking in the camera.

I was trying to convince myself for half the interview that they were in different rooms or something.

Also, the part when Boutte said "I mean, sheeeeeet".

Someone has to get this guy in touch w/ communications experts asap.

He was very unimpressive in that interview, sound very unpolished to use a nicer word. I was embarrassed for him. I do feel like O's culture was more to his liking.

Also people were trumpeting Kayshon telling Lacy to chill out on the QB for not wanting to throw as much. I say wow maybe Lacy represents the new standard and Boutte the old.

And there in lies the problem with LSU athletics SYSTEM WIDE!

this feeling as if they are being abused so the big institutions can make money off of "their" backs. Please these institutions were here long before Boutte and will be here long after. If he doesn't like it pack your shite and leave.

They are hearing this from somebody!

Remember this when you return from the NFL Broke as hell looking for a job

When he said “you don’t want to be here longer than you need to be” I took that as he doesn’t want to be here and can’t wait to leave. But yes, maybe he just worded it wrong. You can obviously tell he hasn’t been listening in those meetings that they have about public speaking and interviews.

I can only hope that the Aggies $25M locker room is chock a block full of exactly this kind of attitude. I have low expectations for this season for us, but watching little brother stumble and fall after spending all that money would make it a good year.
