Katz is a liability in the field at a top caliber program. He has done the job though and with his bat the way it is, that's all that matters. Let's not get crazy though. Katz is one of the worst fielders on the team.

I think Jacoby's injury might have made Katz a lot of money. It's a small sample size, but he actually looked solid in the field at second base. MLB squads always knew Katz wasn't a first baseman at the next level. But the pop he can bring to a lineup as a second baseman, while not being a major liability in the field, raised his draft stock considerably. Good for him
