Justin Jefferson's Draft Grade

I'm listening to the Russillo Podcast and Daniel Jeremiah from the NFL Network thinks Jefferson is the second best receiver that's draft eligible behind Juedy. Apparently when they do GPS tracking he scores off the charts. If he stays in the big game spotlight he'll get more of these high grades. He gone. TYFYS.

I have a feeling he’s going to be a steal for somebody. That catch during the Texas game where he turned his body around and caught a TD was an NFL-caliber catch.

what does he weigh now? Koy Moore comning in the 2020 class reminds me of Jefferson and is listed at 6’1 172lbs

He's listed as 6' 3" 192 lbs on the roster this year

The Saints run that backshoulder seam route all the time, I love it. Jefferson proved he can pull it off.

His route running and body control are elite

That back shoulder catch in the Texas game made me a believer. Just ridiculous body control. I was in that endzone so I saw it live.

DJ Chark went late 2nd Round and I think Jefferson is much than him as far as working the entire field. I think Jefferson could very well go late 1st/early 2nd round.

I would think Devonta Smith is up there too but no doubt Jefferson will go quickly.

People made fun of me last year when I said he’d be gone after this year lol

His draft slot will depend a lot on his 40 time. At worst he’s a 2nd rounder.

Man, I was rewatching that today. Classic moments in LSU sports. LSU heroic stuff. Brady negotiating the pocket and Jefferson's stiff arm.

This WR class is nuts, so not sure he goes 2nd among WRs. But I do think he’ll be a good pro and get drafted in the top 3 rounds

That catch he made in the second quarter of the Utah State game when he came down with the ball and then subsequently kept staring at his hands was spectacular too.

I love JJ but he’s not going above Laviska Shenault.

They are starting to notice. Article from yesterday, "NFL Draft hype grows for LSU's Justin Jefferson"

Wide receiver Justin Jefferson has everyone’s attention, especially after the big win over Alabama. Jefferson caught seven passes for 79 yards in the game, and is up to 898 yards and nine touchdowns this season.
“Huge fan of LSU WR Justin Jefferson,” wrote NFL network lead draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah. “Big, fast & tough. He has outstanding hands & he’ll attack the ball in traffic. He also has the ability to separate on the outside. Love his (yards after catch), too. Big time player.”
At the college level, ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit quickly responded with enthusiasm about the LSU star.
“Also has an edge to him,” Herbstreit said on Twitter. “Like all the great wide receivers, has a built in competitive spirit that is special. Believes he will win every opportunity he gets. At the same time he’s not selfish at all about his touches. Love this young man as well.”

Most of the mocks I’ve seen have him in the 2nd round. Probably 5th or 6th WR off the board.

I’m going against the grain and believing that he will return for his senior year!!!
