Nah not dissing him that's something that I noticed besides Malachi Dupree was a 5* receiver coming out of HS and JJ was ranked low

Dupree was too good for college ball.

Had to declare early so he could be a career practice teamer.

Great observation. You could be the next Bill Polish who falls arse backwards into some good draft picks.

yea, I was really surprised when Malachi would go up for a high pass and still try to body-catch it instead of grabbing it out of the air with his hands, like a rebound.

Really soft player.

Only game I saw Dupree bust his arse was the Louisville bowl and we know why he did that. My man said I got first round talent so I am taking my talents to the NFL.

Absolutely. Dupree was always overrated, JJ underrated

100% agree, malachi was one of the most overrated wr's out of high school I've ever seen.

This is where the problem was. He was still a child compared to NFL WRs and draftees. Weak and would get abused in bump & run

I don’t think we use them in a comparable way or are comparable WRs. I don’t see JJ as a guy that can go up and get it consistently and he had some trouble catching contested balls. His best asset, like I mentioned when we signed him that Summer, is route running, which is the lost art of the wr position. JJ is certainly the more productive and reliable wr. You can line him up in several spots and he can get open and break off big plays. Malachi could only jump up and go get it so I think the argument of using size and height better falls flat because it’s the only thing Malachi did above average and it’s not JJ’s strong suite.
