18 is clearly the biggest liability on either side of the ball. 18’s play is affecting 19’s ability directly. Basically asking him to cover both sides of the field weak or strong play side. Impossible task. Time to get someone else reps.

Or a defensive package where he’s not on the field

Been saying this since game 1. Our linebackers are the weak link in this horrible defense.

Clark is struggling big time. He gets sucked in on EVERY play fake and misdirection. You would think he would guess right half the time but he’s not even close to meeting the average of guessing right.

Last game was designed to abuse our linebackers.

Motion, fakes, misdirections. They sent TE and Rb out wide to bring them out of the box.

And it worked. We were clueless out there.

Pitts may get 250 on our LBs Saturday.

Our (Alabama) LB’s got abused the same way. In addition teams are moving there #1 receivers to the slot to match up with slower safeties. Defenses are behind across the board, not just LSU. I miss the old days when offenses had to make a play and not the defense simply hoping for a dropped pass or fumble.

I was amazed at how slow our LB's are in pursuit, sideline to sideline.

100% agree.
These guys may have to come up with a Frankenstein D, but you’ve got to get your best 11 out there - and 18 is in a horrible place to not be one of ‘em.

Yet another reason for the 7/18 "tradition" to be retired.

Yeah and the 7 in this scenario isn't playing much better.

Jacoby looked alot better with ballers around him

He is out of position. Last year he was able to just do a couple of things well.
When you ask him to do it all, this is what you get

He is 6'1 230

He shouldn't be playing free safety

Id rather see Jacoby and Cox at LB in the 4-2-5 sets and add Clark back when in goal line and obvious running sets if the other team isnt playing up-tempo no huddle. Otherwise, he is a liability at the moment. I also made this comment regarding #18 last week and saturday afternoon. Our safeties also look lost. And that is directed at Hampton, Harris, and current safety Stevens who should NOT be covering receivers on the regular.

Difference is you played a high powered Ole Miss team not Mizzu whose bests before LSU were 344 yards vs Tennessee and 19 points vs your team when the game was basically over.

Let us guess who the LB coach is.

Clarks success last year directly correlates to who else was on the field with him....now that he has to play that role he is struggling

Normally I would insert some smart arse comment about you applying to be the coach, since you are such a film studier and so knowledgeable.

At this point though, I might be inclined to believe that you (random TD film watcher) may be a better DC than BP.
