While I'll agree BAMA schedule is soft as hell it isn't like it has mattered the past 5 years. They have out classed LSU in pretty much every aspect of the game except in 2014.

Kinda surprised Louisville isn’t at least ranked preseason. I’d imagine A&M will be ranked by the time Bama plays them, possibly more if any of those SEC schools surprise.

Still though, we have 4 and could be 5 before them if UF is ranked when we play them. Hopefully we’ll have come out of that unscathed and certainly battle tested

Tenn really needs to step up, big time

As do we (vs Bama)

Them being down so long hasn't helped with this Bama run.

Part of the reason for that is teams aren't lining up to play an elite squad.

LSU gets better and sustains a level of excellence, guess what, the schedule gets easier. Can't blame Bama if OOC teams want nothing to do with them.

I don't mind it. This just gives LSU a better opportunity to win its way into the playoffs. I would love it if LSU beat #1 Bama, and then Bama went on to struggle the rest of the way.

Doesn’t bother them much, if that happened they’d still probably get another chance to play us again.

how do they get away with this shite schedule every god damn year, i cannot remember the last time they played as many ranked teams as we did, its never even close. and I assume Florida will be ranked by the time we play them, so if Clanga stays it'll be 5 top 20 for us and 0 for bama.

they lead into us with Lafayette, Ark, Mizzou, and Tenn.

we lead into them with Ole Miss, @Florida, UGA, and Miss State.

they essentially have 5 weeks of rest, whereas we have 2 definite killers and maybe 3.

what the frick.

Because the SEC (Birminham) lets them get away with it. Better yet, the league wants it that way - not only because of their homer allegiance to Bama, but it boosts ratings and revenues. Add ESPN/ABC right along with those who are complicit.

In addition to their annual open week vs. LSU, they get Citadel before Auburn. (Last year it was even worse when they had Mercer before Auburn.) Starters play no more than a quarter and a half in those games so it's almost like another open week. Until people start raising the issue in a big way, it'll be the same result every year.

Other teams need to start using this as a recruiting tool against them. They pad their schedule with too many rent-a-wins and SEC patsies Mizzou, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt (last year).

The hardest regular season LSU has ever played ended up being the best regular season LSU ever played. We shouldn't bitch about the schedule.

I agree with that but...

This isn't the old BCS system anymore where big wins get you quality points. None of that matters.

2011 was the year CFB was broken for good. Not saying too just bc I'm an LSU fan. LSU played one of the hardest schedules in the history of the sport, and what was the reward? Yeah...

None of any of this should surprise anyone that pays attention. Know your entertainment.

Correct.

And the "bridge scheduling" when we expanded a few years ago was comical to watch. Anyone that pointed it out was a conspiracy theorist.

Again, this is all done by design. Know your entertainment. If you don't like the fact the system is rigged in every way for them, quit watching.

Well UL was probably a higher ranked team when scheduled than Miami. We have UGA this year. Everything else is the same. Except if LSU loses, then we will be just another unranked team on their schedule. Which, isn't their fault.

Anyone else remember that we were to play UK this year and Bama had UGA, until the B'Ham office made a scheduling "adjustment" about 1.5 years ago?

Same shite last year

They played 2 teams ranked at the end of the season. Went 1-1. Waltzed right in to the CFP without much discussion

This could give us an advantage in the Bama matchup

We'll be much more battle tested by that point regardless of record
