Terrance Magee type player imo

CEH is a hell of a lot more physical than Magee but Magee was probably slightly faster. Magee rarely broke more than one tackle but Helaire is the type of dude to pull a Guice vs SCAR 2015 type run.

Sproles averaged > 21 carries per game during his junior and senior seasons at Kansas St. Also finished 5th in Heisman voting.

I don't see CHE having that kind of college career, but I do think he can be a special player... more comparable to Terrence Magee... but more carries

Faulk wasn't the best back on the team but he was special.

Guice said that CEH was a mini me. I think so as well. Provens might get lost in the shuffle once Curry and next year stable of freshman running backs start to stand out. (Cain and Tyrion)

Lord I hope he is better than Magee or LSU is in trouble at the RB position. Not actually saying Magee was a horrible RB but he just never seemed to make big runs or do anything special.

You do realize Faulk is the all time SEC leader in career yards....

but ok.. he wasn't the best back on the team...

They forced weight onto Magee that kinda ruined him.

CEH carries his weight a lot more naturally.

Is this a Cecil Collins comment?

Faulk is the best back in LSU history. Even thinking of comparing CEH with him is silly.

He’s my choice for #1 break out player this year. I think Curry will also emerge as a reliable 3rd and short/goal line back but I envision CEH separating himself as the clear #1. Great size and speed—runs a 4.4 at around 220lbs—super shifty can bounce off tackles then take it to the house. He just looks like he was born to be a running back.. Also was a great pass blocker in HS and doesn’t fumble. His film was arguably better than Guice’s coming out of Catholic. Im guzzling the koolaid on Clyde the Glide. 1,500/10 TDs this season. Eventually becoming a top 10 back somewhere between Addai and Toefield.

A mixture of rocky Williams, Ron Dayne, Fournette, Tony Dorsett, Darren Sproles, and Jim Brown. Just better than all of them.

If he can get some decent blocking from the big boys up front I think he will surprise some people.

At CHS Dale Weiner coached a lot of talent at rb. Warrick Dunn was his qb but the rb that year, Kevin Franklin, was more highly recruited. Travis Minor was the Gatorade National Player of the Year in 1997 and spent about 5 or 6 years in the NFL. Jeremy Stewart was also a name not a lot of people don't know because he went to Stanford but he made some nfl rosters. Then of course there is Derrius Guice.

Out of all of that talent, CEH is the only player to ever play varsity as a freshman. That was with Guice on the team. He spent a lot of time his junior and senior seasons injured. Otherwise I think he would have been more highly recruited. If he stays healthy and we use him in the passing game he's going to have a monster season.
