Kevon Faulk good.

Not many running backs in the history of the SEC have been Kevin Faulk kind of good. At least, very few put up Faulk's kind of numbers.

If Clyde is that productive LSU will roll.

Yeah compare him to whomever you wish, but this will be his production level. I just can't see him going for 1200+, but if his YPC is 4.5 or something like that, he's done his job.

I watched all of CEH’s high school games and I think Darren Sproles is an appropriate comparison for him. Great pass catcher and return specialist, hard to bring down in space, and he is also surprisingly hard to bring down. He’s almost Kamara-esque in that way. The one thing that I noticed about him though is that he gets too down on himself when he makes a mistake. I remember there were a few times where he made a bad play and fumbled and then wasn’t really the same for the rest of the game.

There wasn't really a lot to judge how good he'll be. But I think if he was as special as everyone is saying, then we would have seen it last year when Guice was out. Our special teams returning (punt AND kicks) weren't anything to get excited about. And from what I remember, CEH found the nearest guy and ran into him when he did have to return one. Add in the fact that the coaches are talking about 'running back by committee' and it sounds like there is a ways to go for him.

Not to bash the kid. I hope he does have a break out season and becomes the best we've ever seen. And stay healthy. I can't wait for the season to start so we have some idea of how things shake out.

Aside from all the catlick High blubbering, he can be serviceble. Good hands and some wiggle leads him to be a good threat in the passing game, but he has a history of injury in 5-5A, which is not exactly the SEC.
That being said, he can be very productive, just not an everydown back.

He's played a year here. Where did you see any indication of a 4.37?

Exactly. CEH looks like a high 4.5 guy to me. If he can keep that speed and get bigger (215lbs or so) he could be a really nice back.

IMO I think he can be good but to start comparing him to Faulk or Hillard or even maybe Guice you must be completely insane or your medication dose needs to be reevaluated. He just hasn't had enough touches yet. I'm looking forward to seeing what Curry can do.

I don’t think anyone here is saying what he will be. I, and it’s just me maybe, am saying what he CAN be, like the title asks. I don’t think CEH is going to be Mark Ingram in 2018 but I think he CAN be that good eventually. And I used Mark Ingram as an example because he’s about the same size and speed as Ingram with the great lateral agility that Ingram had when he played at Alabama.

Spencer Ware, Shyrone Carey, Magee.

He will be a role player.

Magee rarely broke more than one tackle

Are you high? As a sophomore, he carried a scrum of 9 out of Ole Miss’s 11 defenders for 5 yards, all by himself. I remember it very clearly because as it happened live, I declared him the best 5th string running back in the country.

BTW: anybody know if he’s still in the league/gonna make a roster this year?

I know he ran a fast 40 in the 4.3’s at some point, but was that when he was much lighter?

He’s put on a lot of weight in the past year or 2, and I wonder it it has affected his speed.
