i have zero fear of Vandy. zero.

Primarily running teams don't scare me at all. Quick hitting, high % passing teams scare me with our scheme.

Does any football team have the equipment to cover the field like they do to the infield in baseball? I would think it would be highly possible especially for programs with a lot of money. The fields are usually "domed" so that water drains better and I know that there is a drainage system (and an upgrade was done to our system recently) but why not cover the damn thing for multiple day rains like today? If covered and "domed" the water would run off of the cover to drains. It would at least have the field in decent condition near the start of the game rather than soaked through.

As was said earlier, it would begin to yellow and kill the grass very quickly.

Also, money cannot be the issue for not getting the FT, McNeese State has it, Nicholls State, Westlake High, and I'm sure there are a lot more.

Though for all you TAF haters, if they raise the money for the field, do you really want the field named "TAF Field at Tiger Stadium??

The field will be fine.

And the score of the game is not going to be 17-14.

Hell, it made a Heisman Trophy winner out of Billy Cannon. If he can return a kick for a touchdown in those old arse cleats, why can't we do it now. Just do it. Swoosh

yeah, LSU plays on the same grass today that it did in 1959 ...

Thanks, couldn't think of the correct word, appreciate the help!

I would think that if they covered the field for only the time it's really raining that the field wouldn't yellow. You don't see that happening much if any on the baseball fields. They use only when necessary. To another poster's point, if it would help to keep the field from being torn up for the remainder of the season, it would be worth it.

I may watch the USC game tonite instead of the LSU game...

Monsoon will make a shitty field shittier
Miles will force Crowton to be unimaginative
Soft zone will suck
Fat players will be tired
Great players won't play because of bbq sauce
Players will be slow because of too much Moffit
Uber-star Shepard probably won't get to play
Lazy o-line won't block anyone
Old people won't like piped in music
Uniforms aren't ultra-modern looking
Low IQ Louisiana fans will cheer plays that aren't really great

I challenge you to make one, just ONE, positive post concerning LSU. You're either a very unhappy person in real life, or a shite-stirrer.

He is an attorney that lives at home with his mother to save about 500 a month. This is why he is so depressed.

our field has been horrible for years, and it looks like it will be horrible after our first game this year

dude...while I agree that our field can look bad (I have advocated in past posts for field turf)...I'm still patiently waiting for sfp to give us insight as to what he does find appealing about the LSU football program. You're obviously not a dummy...why so negaive?

He has a major inferiority complex. To validate his inability or fear to play football,he criticises everything.
His twisted ego allows him to believe he knows more than the AD,coaches, players, and groundskeepers.
Judging by the number of his posts,he is probably unemployed and probably has few friends especially female ones.
He is probably being treated by a mental health professional. He doesn't seem to realize that he doesn't know everything.Trying to degrade the LSU program, players, and coaches doesn't elevate him.

"i just don't see how we have such incompetent people handling our field you'd think by blind luck they'd do well at least 1 year"
