You pass a bond issue, with interest rates being at historic lows. Also each sec school will get an additional $16million in revenue in addition to what we already receive once the cbs contract is up.
That alone could help with the debt service.
Also a new arena, with emphasis on premium seating and amenities will help cover costs

A brand new PMAC (LSU wouldn't dare change the name) is 100000% necessary.

The crowds for LSU bball are back. The crowds for LSU gym are breaking records constantly.

The PMAC should be BOOKED with something 4-5 days/week, year round. LSU games, events, conferences, concerts, etc.

A nearly state of art facility is needed to fully pack this place. ESPECIALLY as it pertains to LSU crowd noise, viewing vantage points, suites, & concourses. Fan EXPERIENCE is at such a premium right now thanks to TV/streaming. You have to give people a full experience now.
Even for volleyball & wbball, we need the new, effective, & easy way of "tarping" the higher seating areas creating a more appropriate seating area for those sports. As tickets sales increase, you increase the seating options available. But leaving those areas uncovered & open just looks terrible in person & on TV. You have to create the illusion of a packed house.

Bball Ops + TAF need their offices all in the PMAC. Mens & Womens bball needs a sub floor practice facility in the PMAC as well as weights, training, etc. It is ridiculous how many places they have to go at a P5 Div. 1 program to get their work done.

Lastly, like all things events wise, campus NEEDS more parking. A parking garage is needed in basically every corner of campus. A new PMAC would all but guarantee a parking garage with it. My suggestion is at least 7-10 stories minimum.

If Ole Miss and Auburn can build new arenas LSU and both Alabama can build new ones as well. Just have to finance it correctly. SEC money.

I'd look at the Pavilion at Ole Miss as a design starting point. Having concessions that are open 7 days a week and available not just on game days. The parking garage which is right next to Vaught Hemmingway is also a major plus....a new PMAC built on the site of Bernie Moore could have that and more...

It would be nice to see empty seats in a brand new shiny building.

They wouldn’t always be empty. Gymnastics fills the place up regularly.

All sound good to me. While I agree the name would never change, the thought popped into my head to call it the 'Shaq PMAC'. Has a nice rhyme to it and would be able to distinguish between the two (while keeping PMAC in the name).

I think less seats is good like the ATL stadium. Less seats but a much closer feel and set up. Instead of 13,000 seat make it 8-10,000 seating capacity maybe smaller... Idk
