Everyone wants to clean house who would you hire and would they leave their present employer? Baseball coaches don’t tend to jump ship. Anyone can win a title in baseball unlike football or basketball.

O'Sullivan

He's done a ton with nothing

had to fight to get a decent stadium

and the fans don't even care about the one title he got them

their attendance sucks

How should an atomic bomb be built? There are experts who know, just as there are professionals LSU pays to research these things and make wise decisions. Fans generally have no idea. Who would have said “Skip Bertman” if asked in 1980?

If not for Bob Broadhead, Skip Bertman never happens.

I am not saying PM should be fired. All I am saying is that the program is stale and needs a recharge, life pumped into it or something. You don't see the same passion or energy on the field or in the stands on a regular basis like is normal for LSU baseball. Attendance is drastically down no matter what anyone says. They can keep pumping that bullshite story and giving us ticket sales numbers but you watch a game on tv or attend one in person and the buts in the seats are down a lot.

He wouldn’t leave Florida for Texas. What makes you think he’d leave Florida for LSU after he built a great program in Gainesville. Brand new stadium, finally won a national title, very young, and has many more years in Gainesville. Also why would he want to come to LSU whenever he knows that the fans will call for his head if he can’t win a national title.

He’s had the same success as Mainieri and yet many of y’all want him? Honestly, he’s underachieved with the talent he has in Gainesville. Y’all are basically asking for the same thing that we already have.

PM wont and should be fired this year. But if he were to retire.....

Dan mcdonnell or cliff godwin or tim tadlock.
2 of those 3 are at their alma mater, so that would be tough.

He’s not leaving Florida to come to LSU. For one, he won’t go to another SEC school and two he wouldn’t want to coach for a fanbase like ours who wants everyone fired for not winning the whole thing

If/when this does eventually happen, I trust Woodward a lot more than I would have Alleva to make the right call on this.

I'm not ready to see PM go just yet. We still don't know how this season will end and even if it's an early exit, I think he deserves a little more time. I can understand some of the people saying his time is starting to run its course like Miles' time here, and to an extent, I agree. However, last year our talent just wasn't that great and this year all our talent seems hurt.

Everyone wanting to fire PM is missing the fact that although with all these injuries, it's still been a pretty damn good season overall. Is it up to LSU baseball standards? No. But, I can still see this team making a deep run if we somehow get a couple of pieces back.

Anyways, I know it's nothing new to say wait and see. And also that I'm more comfortable with Woodward than Alleva, especially since SW has seen what LSU baseball can be. But, that would be my advice to anyone wanting PM replaced directly after this season.
