I don't see how it would befuddle you or anyone else for that matter. It's been the goal for most of them their whole lives to play in the NFL. Just like kids out of high school that skip college baseball to go straight into the minor leagues. How could anyone knock them or be befuddled by them following their dream.

i certainly wasn't knocking them (and i don't think you accused me of lot) but i have been around college sports a long time and it used to be an occasional thing for a guy to leave a year early. now it seems like a flood. i really don't think the demographics have changed in the last few decades. as far as following their dream goes, sure but only one year away from getting a college degree? why not have both? football doesnt last for very long.
