LSU had a distinct attendance advantage. But Bama Fans had much more to cheer about much more consistently, so they were also consistently louder.

But I was there in Section 251, & there is just flat-out no way that anyone can say that we sold home field advantage to them.

We took it up the tailpipe & the loudest moment was when we blocked a kick from their FG kicker. They were louder because we couldn't cheer about anything other than a ST play.

Alot of it was corporate tickets I would think.

I know people who were basically given corporate tickets, and put them on stub hub to the highest bidder. I told them "put them on the ticket exchange and sell them to LSU fans". Theyre response was, I dont give a shite who buys them I just want my 3 grand.

If I would have had the opportunity to sell 4+ tickets for what they were going for in the lower bowl, I would have. That's a down payment.

We were there...I would say 55-Bama 45-LSU...I was shocked when we got to our seats and saw the crowd mix.

I have a question, however. I realize that some fans sold their tickets...my beef is with the number of tickets that went to "others", i.e, those who received tickets not from the allotment the two schools received. Corporate sponsors or others who were "connected", I guess? Obviously, those ticket holders had no allegiance to whom they were selling their tickets.

When my husband was working the internet for our tickets, he communicated with ticketholders all over the country, many in California. I wish there would be more tickets available for the fans based in the regions from which the two participating teams come, instead of someone thousands of miles away who doesn't give a rat's arse about the game.

I dont disagree, but why not take the extra time to sell them to someone who is an LSU fan? Maybe its a little extra effort and maybe you may only get $1300 vs $1400 per, but at least there is a Tiger fan going.

Just one more reason I hate our fan base.

You're exactly right, my wife and kid can use $5,800 much more than going to a game.

Had the intention of going but my ticket reserves put me in the AL section so I said f'it.

But just for your happiness, I did cough up airfare and hotel and we all traveled to NOLA anyway and spent some money in the city, along with visiting family. So for me, that was a win.

The amount of Georgia people in the actual LSU section at the SEC Championship was FAR WORSE!

I know it's not the same, but this shite really has gotten out of hand...everyone's a scalper.

You're missing my point. I am not chastising you for selling your tickets. All I am saying, is why not put in a little extra effort and sell to LSU fans? You probably would have made the same amount of money, or close, and could have allowed those seats to have friendlys in them.
