It was very evenly split 50-50 as far as the crowd but we had not much to cheer about that night!

I had this same Discussion with friends before the game. If had gotten a ticket, I would have sold without second guessing it. Now 5 years ago when I was in college with no mortgage, children or wife, you couldn't have offered me enough money to pry the tickets away from me. I'm a very loyal tiger fan, but I'm more loyal to my wife and daughter.

I may have tried to sell it to an LSU fan but it seems like there were more BAMA fans in the market.

There were slightly more Alabama fans. I saw that from the field.

to heck with you. I did not sell mine, but it was tempting. You are either wealthy or do not pay more for TAF fees than your season tickets, or you are just clueless as to the costs for the normal fan who has season tickets and is about to have to pay increased fees. And that is why i say f you and that is why many of us do not accept Miles' hard-headedness as well as others. It did not matter if LSU had a few more people in the seats or not, the game would have turned out the same.

I also was there, and it was very clear that there were more Bama fans in attendance. There was very little P&G bleeding into the Bama sections but quite a lot of red in the LSU sections. There really is no question about this and it as very surprising. I do know that the ticket reserve prices for Bama was generally higher than ours for most of the season, and apparently some LSU fans sold their tickets to the Gumps

What? You're saying because there were more Bama fans in LSU sections, that there were more Bama fans in attendence. You didn't take logic in school did you?

I did take math in 3rd grade, maybe you ought to go review it. Bottom line, there were more Bama fans in attendance - not by a wide margin but still noticeable. I, and most (no, not all, some still deny) people who attended the game would agree that the expected edge in favor of LSU fans was simply not there. Didn't cost us the game, just unexpected.

You're right; I've had season tickets to football and basketball for over 25 years, what a shitty fan I am.

OK, you rant geniuses...the tickets were sold before the game, so the teams poor performance had nothing to do with the crowds size...about 55% bama 45% LSU. It was strictly a $$$ grab.
No one said the crowd noise was the reason we lost. Bama wanted it more...Bama fans did too, thats what pi$$es me off.
The noise level for Bama was higher than LSU
from the kick off, so don't give me that its the teams fault crap. This was the BCS championship.
You go and you yell till you are hoarse.
I saw the Saints beat a better Viking team in
NFL championship game. They would not have won if not for the fan noise.
Sure seems like a lot of fair weather fans on the rant today, including a few I wouldn't have expected.
Act like you've been there before doesn't mean selling your tickets to the other fan base.
The best thing LSU has going for itself are her fans. They built the program and fueled it with their passion. They dropped the ball this time

not splitting atoms here, but if it wasn't by a wide margin, then how was in noticeable? you're talking in circles bra

Exactly. Enough Tiger fans were there, and at exorbitant prices. It was the LSU offense that forgot to show up.

I can't speak for everyone, but a lot of my friends weren't overly excited about the game. I got that impression from a lot of people and I don't understand how it could be the case.

In most cases, LSU fans would do everything in their power to keep the Gumps out, but this time they seemed more indifferent than anything else.

Or the 30 or so fans that showed up for their homecoming as report by The Advocate?

So you were in the Lsu section, looking directly at the Nama sections, and you couldn't see ybiggest portion of of the stadium where the Lsu fans sat.....did you stay at a holiday inn last night?

This really isn't very hard to understand. From where I was I could see about 70% of the dome. The only seats I could not see are part of the LSU terrace. From that viewpoint, I can easily conclude Bama had the majority because even if there was an LSU arse in every LSU seat I couldn't see, it was still 55/45. And from what I heard from people who watched on TV, the LSU terrace had plenty of red, hence why I said it might have been more like 60/40.
