JJ is head and shoulders better than these two clowns.

LSU just need a badass defense and a couple of studs at Rb.

Plenty of teams win with shitty to average QBs. JPW and McElroy win because they have a dominant running game, dominant defense, and great coaches.

Jordan's season was pretty damn good when you consider he has no one developing him, no true running game, and no consistent blocking. From 2004-this season, he's had the 2nd best year of any QB IMO (2nd to JR's 2006 year).

you're right... we did.... Mauck and Flynn....

Saban has a proven formula and it doesn't include a Peyton Manning fantasy QB... play disciplined, dominate the trenches, and establish the run.... all the QB has to do is manage the game...

so JJ gets a get-out-of-jail-free card for this season?

As someone said earlier, for not havung an O-Line and an established running game, JJ fared pretty well.

64% completion percentage, over 2,000 yards passing....what were you expecting?

JJ had a higher completion %, TD/INT ratio, and QB rating than Flynn did in 2007. Look at a QB like Ryan Mallett who shows all the potential in the world. He throws for a ton of yards, 30 TDs to only 7 INTs, but his team faired far worse than Alabama. Is that because he didn't progress as a passer, or because the part surrounding him were less than that of Bama's?

Jordan is a guy who will minimize our turnovers, make some plays with his feet, and make some good throws when given time. He isn't a dynamic QB who will rip every opposing defense to shreds, but he's better than what people give him credit for.

Statistically, he had a better season than JR in 2005 and Flynn in 2007 (both of which were older QBs who were seasoned under Jimbo, a QB developer). Imagine what he could do with an actual QB coach, solid running game, solid offensive line, and solid coaching. The progression lies within his supporting cast and coaches.

maybe my expectations for him were unfair after his performance against GTech. but was it unfair of me to expect that kind of performance consistently? maybe it was.

You know he only thre for like 160 yards in that game right?...he managed the game behind a stout rushing attack...nothing special in that game
