His tree trunk legs don't stop churning.

The narrative on this board a month ago was "We can't win with a walkon at RB."

He reminds me of Clyde in everything he does.

He is so strong but he can make people miss…he had a couple of great jukes while running through the hole

Williams has had many clutch runs too but for some reason doesn’t seem to YET be at the front of people’s minds, I guess due to such a fun crazy season. He’s a beast.

In the Alabama game, he reminded me of Jacob Hester vs Florida with his incredible push at the goal line to get in. Powerful legs, fighting, pushing to get across that goal line.

His work ethic is displayed in his running style. I still have that image of him powering toward the 1st down marker with a pile of Bama players on him. Reminds me of the old school power runners like Jimmy Taylor, Larry Csonka... If you don't wrap up, he's going to carry you several yards or break free.

His build reminds me a lot of Michael Ford, but their running styles are totally different. Ford was pound for pound one of the strongest guys on the team, but he never played with the power you see from Josh Williams.

Totally agree that he reminds me of CEH. I keep watching him and thinking that he looks like a draft-worthy NFL back. Is that possible?

Running style is different but they both have a utility type skill set.

CEH could make guys miss in tight spaces. Williams excels at falling forward to grind out extra yards.

He drives his legs very, very well to get an extra 2 yards almost every time he carries it and he's a great pass blocker.

We need Goodwin back to be the breakaway guy. Really hope his injury is healed by A&M so he can ease his way back into a rhythm then be 100% go against UGA.

Excellent comparison on the field and off.

Emery is more talented from a size/speed/agility perspective. That doesn't mean he's the better back.

I was thinking he reminds me of Ridley but Hester is a better comparison. Ridley was more of a featured back and Hester was more rb by committee

I don't think Josh Williams has ever lacked talent. There was an article recently said that he didn't fully commit to football until his senior year in high school.

These days it's almost impossible to break 3* if you don't do the recruiting camp circuits.

He's got that game savvy and grit that reminds me of Pierre Thomas.
