Clearly didn't say anything about either one of those options. That game had so many "game 1" things happen, that if you played it 10 times you'd likely have 10 different results. I refuse to overreact over a 1 point loss to a team with live game experience vs a re-build team, and I choose to ridicule people who do. Dudes on a message board don't know shite.

Last year vs UCLA may be the exception to this statement.

He was clutch when it mattered. He didn’t seem to look down field for passes longer than 10 yards. No turnovers. He is definitely an electric playmaker as a runner and a serviceable QB for short to medium throws. He took a few sacks but slipped out of many would be sacks. He can win us some games for sure. I don’t think he will lose us many if any games by his style of play.

I was pleased with him especially the 99 yard drive at the end. Looking forward to the LSU Florida QB matchup.

I think the problem is simple for LSU fans: NCAA 2014 and Madden

For those of you who laughed at this, or dismissed it, there is an active thread on the rant right this very second, calling for maason smith to be moved to offensive tackle

You can’t make this shite up

LSU is that bad right now.

Roster was In Worse shape than when Saban took over…extremely worse. Yet everyone thinks Kelly fixed it overnight and ignoring the monumental rebuild this is.

Hey laughing man (I assume you’re actually laughing hysterically since you use a lot of emoticons of people laughing—I guess in real life it’s really that gut-bustingly hilarious), your argument is fat, drunk, and stupid.

LSU has lost to “bad” competition early and come back to beat better competition late many times. Just assuming that losing to a “bad” team puts our trajectory of “better” behind everyone else’s for the rest of the year flies in the face of what we actually see with our eyes on a fairly regular basis.
Don’t be a dumbass.

I’ve noticed peoples takes are all over the board. Special teams are bad and we knew this team wasn’t gonna be top 10 this season. I’ll start to get nervous if we shite the bed vs Miss St.

That's just setting yourself up for disappointment. Mississippi State is a top 25 team this year that runs a scheme we'll probably have a harder time than average stopping given our personnel. They're going to surprise people because they're not your father's Mississippi State.

You can start to feel worried if the team doesn't start playing more disciplined and continues to have bad tackling, but you can't really say how he'll be as a coach until 2024. The cupboard he inherited was really bare, and like Josh Pate said, the culture won't really change until all the O players are gone.

So who do we think are the guys LSU needs to "rid" themselves of (besides the one that has been talked about a ton already)?

Nobody...why do they need to get rid of anybody?

How am I supposed to know? I'm not in the locker room. I have no exclusive scoop. I just know that like Josh Pate said, there are guys on the team that have played with O more than they've played with Kelly, and they're going to fall back to O style of dealing with things when the going gets tough. I can't possibly know who that is, but they definitely exist.

Agreed. I think you see a much better football team in October/November. This is going to be a fun season, but likely has some frustrating moments.

I don’t get it. Unless a new coach cuts off money or special treatment, why would anyone prefer to cling to a previous culture of sloppy play and losing? CBK and his staff have coached and run pre-season camps for decades. They should have been more prepared and confident. Did the bright lights in the ceiling of the super dome confuse Nabers?
