That means, assumming he beats McNeese, C. Michigan and ULM, he can't lose more than 2 against:

Miss St
Auburn
UK
Fla
Ole Miss
Bama
Ark
TAMU

He's had 9 months to correct last season's issues and he's going to suddenly turn things around after last Saturday? I just don't see it.

its really amazing how little shite people gave O for the Canada debacle...Most here were willing to go along with with the "the offense was gimmicky and he was an a-hole.. GOOD ON O FOR SEEING THAT AND MAKING A CHANGE" ignoring that doing just the basic level of leg work would have told him it was all a bad fit. Seriously, how did he not know what Canada's offense was?

people here frequently credit O for making changes. Which is true...but he's making those changes to correct his own frick ups. "ohh man good job on O for not sticking with Bo and correcting this" How about quit making shitty hires that keep costing us buyout money?

While I do agree with that, based on what I saw last season and last Saturday’s game, I don’t see him reaching that record. I don’t.

He’s regurgitated the same excuses after every loss when each loss looks the same. We don’t play hard, there’s no fire, grit, leadership from anyone, especially O. He doesn’t know how to fix what needs to be fixed.

I’ll be surprised if he lasts the entire season.

No way in hell they go 9-3. I think the very best this team can hope for is 7-5. I don’t see us beating Auburn, Florida, Bama, or A&M. I think it’s a stretch for this team not to slip up at least once against Miss St, Kentucky, Ole Miss, and Arkansas.

Sure. He'd survive until next season when he'd put out another inferior product and be fired then. We won't get that far though.

Go ahead and list 9 wins on the 2021 schedule, in order of most likely to least likely.

I appreciate he said it isn’t about losing one game and wanting to fire the coach. I can’t stand when posters in here claim LSU fans have delusional standards and winning every game is the only thing we can tolerate.

Most likely Wins to Least likely:

If we play as bad as we did at UCLA these might be our only wins:
Mcneese
ULM
Central Michigan

If we only slightly improve we can win these games:
Arkansas
Mississippi State
Auburn

If we get a lot better we can win 3 of these:
Kentucky
Ole Miss
Florida
A&M

We won't win this one no matter what:
Bama

I don't predict it to happen but it is possible that we win 9 games. I think we win 7 maybe 8 if a few things fall our way. In 2017 we lost to fricking Troy and still managed to go 6-2 in the SEC. While it's not likely, it's possible.

LSU isn't even winning the 3 games in the "slight improve" group.

Yeah, on the back of a top 15, Dave Aranda led, defense.

I bet if I went back to 2017 post Troy you would have said the same thing. Again I am not saying I think it will happen but to completely rule it out as a possibility is dumb.

Did we not have Aranda's defense vs Troy?

The word delusional exists for a reason.

Sure did. They gave up 24 points, not 38. That was an LSU team that had some pride. All we've seen from Orgeron's teams since 2019 is that they don't care.

Here's a fun fact for you: 2017 LSU never gave up as many points as UCLA scored last Saturday. Not once.

Here's another one: LSU has given up 38 points 6 times in the last 11 games.

The question now is how long will LSU be willing to live with the worst HC in power 5 football. I think that parting ways just prior to season's end, maybe before the penultimate game, would be most propitious. What will the long-term costs of hiring him be?

State and Arkansas are the only ones I feel like we should win but then again you never know with this team.

This is so true!!! I talked with a guy that played with O at NW state. He said he does not have the IQ. or the mentality to correct the course. He is too hardheaded and was pissed off that Burrow, Brady, & Aranda got the credit for Natty!!
