ESPN has a say over who broadcasts their content no matter what it is big or small. They have the final say. And they don't make rushed decisions
NOT even close to being true.My brother has been a VP in Radio for the past 25 years, currently in a top 20 market while overseeing three others markets, with two of the stations in the clusters that he runs, being ESPN affiliates. He said ESPN has absolutely zero influence or say so as to who local stations choose as host during local day-parts. None.

That show is perfect for morning drives.
Not anymore. T-Sucks and is very hard to stomach. Jordy covered his arse from 7-9

What are the odds Ryan Clark is the replacement?

Jordy was to me the most intelligent and level headed host they have. This is a sad day.
Now the only show worth a shite is Hester and Hanny.

Kind of like how you hid in shame from this board for years after I got you to melt like no one has ever seen anyone melt before in the history of the internet. I have it bookmarked if you want to relive it.

Did Moscona touch on it in the first hour?

Nope. Nobody has talked about it on air or otherwise.

Welp, I won't be listening and I do like T-Bob but he can't carry the show by himself. Say what you want about Pomansky(?) but Culotta and The Prince was the best show going! I will say I do like Hanny and Hester!

Super disappointing. Jordy was fantastic on air and his dynamic with T-Bob alongside was perfect for morning radio. Lot of people speculating about the Pelini stuff leading to this. That would only be legally defensible by his employer if it was, in fact, false. And if that were the case, I'd imagine they would far prefer to have him roll it back on air and retract it stating that he was wrong and apologize for running with it without 100% certainty. I would also imagine that if it were the case, someone else would have to come on air and roll it back after letting him go (Gordy). This seems like something else going on. No matter what, it's a huge blow to 104.5's lineup. Hope Jordy lands on his feet. Good luck, Jordy.

Why does everything have to be a firing?
The "gotcha" culture strikes again.
This is Page 17 of this thread and 90% of y'all seem to think Jordy was "fired" because of something he said or did.
This is the radio business, people. His departure could be a simple contract disagreement -- like, "We don't want to give you a raise, so you won't be getting a new contract." It happens.
From what I'm told, the parent ESPN company has no control whatsoever over the hirings of the local affiliates, so squelch that idea.
It was probably a contract thing. Why didn't Culotta do the third hour? Maybe he told them he wouldn't do it without a raise, and it became an issue.
I agree with most of you. T-Bob can't carry the show by himself. It would be great to listen to Hunt Palmer for three hours, but he's already got a real job.
I can't imagine Ryan Clark has the time or the inclination to do a three-hour radio show each morning from 7-10 a.m. I certainly wouldn't listen to it.
If I were Gordy, I'd hire Ben Love from that Lafayette station. He'd be excellent.
Good luck to Jordy, in any case. He will be missed.

They fired him during the show. He didn't come back for 3rd hour. Of course t Bob didn't say anything
Posted on 1/14/21 at 5:03 pm to The Blue Stuff
Do yall ever listen to the show? He has never been there for the 3rd hour

How crazy is it that this comes the day after Jordy gets props on ESPN national college basketball broadcasts in back-to-back nights. Got credited on the broadcast by Dickie V himself and then the next night got credited by the ESPN2 crew during our game with the piggies. Riding high, and the next morning ... crash!
