At least now you realize we all know you’re full of shite Derek.

well, its pretty simple... its a liability unless someone takes the liability. You are assuming someone takes the liability.

Kansas isn't hiring Ed.

Update, actually looking at the extension.. there is no offset. Liquid damages are due at the time of termination.

My reading is if they terminate him next week, they would owe him 70% of the remaining in lump sum.

There is a reason most head coaches keep old players and alumni at a distance from the team. We have seen the immature and racist actions of explayers in the ears of the players. Now these super star NIL players parents want to dictate to the football program how it is to go down or else. It was very evident that UCLA had a bunch of hungry 3 star star recruits that just wanted to play the damn game - guarantee there is not this much drama around their program. we were outreached for sure, but all these super star athletes are going to be a problem going forward.

This isn’t the only reason full sums owed aren’t paid Derek. They’re negotiated down every day of the week and LSU’s lawyers aren’t schmucks.

Your boy will be lucky to walk away with 50% of what he’s owed.

Between title IX, guice, apparent video footage of him threatening boosters on private property, and the “sissy blue shirt” comment it seems like Woodard has plenty of cause to can Orgeron without having to pay the buyout. I’m sure there is some sort of “integrity clause”.

Nope. We are not getting out of paying his buyout.

That's not how it works. The negotiated amount is in the contract.

My reading of the extension is, 70% of the remaining balance would owed at the time of termination... after that I would assume pre-judgment interest accrues.

When LSU fires him for cause he will take them to court and/or negotiate a settlement.

So, you’re wrong. Again.

If they had cause, they would have already fired him for cause.

You're just making shite up.

It’s sad but something is really ‘off the rails’ regarding coach O.

They can fire him for cause any time they want and for any reason they want. It’s then on him to sue them for breach of contract, at which point LSU’s attorneys will take his arse to the woodshed and leave him begging for scraps.

You really don’t know how any of this stuff works, do you?

dude...he is going to negotiate a lower buyout because it will be with cause. Look at jeremy pruit at ut for example.

Mega-false.

There are enumerated reasons as to what "for cause" means in his written contract (gambling, drugs, NCAA violations, fraud, etc.) Any other reason is by contractual definition "without cause".

You must be Ed's mother. Here is a deal, he will not get his full buyout. Yes, it will get negotiated down. Worst came to worse, LSU would leverage all his wrongdoings, then it would go to a mediator, and O knows he would have to give concessions to get anything. LSU would have plenty of leverage for the buyout.

Typical insecure coonass with a self-inflated ego. Takes himself and his mindset of "the day I can't whip another man is the day I don't get out of bed" waaay too seriously.

Guy is down at fishing camp with a group and group see Ed O and his sons. Someone says off the cuff “he better win every game this year.” 10 minutes later, Ed O shows up at their camp asking “Someone got something to say to me?” presumably looking for a fight. Someone recorded this interaction and sent it into the LSU administration.

Holy shite. This has to be a fireable offense with cause.

The guys produced one of the greatest CFB seasons in the history of the game, not just LSU - were you not ‘All-In’ in 2019? WTF is your problem? What a phuking moronic statement.

Guarantee you that little Nicky has way more control over the program on that front than Ed. He kept letting a bitter rotten egg speak to the team. Not an even comparison.
