First reported by Balcony Bengals: Jordan Thompson had surgery on his ankle last week. Will be out 4-5 weeks

We know a guy on the team and this is what we were told.

Talked to him at the event. Said he had some scar tissue cleaned up in his knee. Said he would be back in a week or so. Nothing serious.

Alright Gant, let's see if the Balcony Bengals are worth anything. If he had surgery on his ankle this week that would keep him out for over a month, I'd imagine he would at least have a boot on.

No idea, I have him muted. As you may guess, his shitiness pervades all aspects.

How far we've fallen from the days that Derrick Goold covered games for the Times Pic.

I liked James Moran
It seemed like he at least tried

He did try. Luke Johnson was GREAT.

At one point there were multiple publications with writers covering the team and many of them were at least decent.

We now have the Advocate pretty much only. And their hiring record is pretty bad of late.

Glen West covers for the SI Local site, but he covers all sports so he's stretched thin. He's not bad though.

Tigerrag is just reprinting LSU press releases.

Delly was fun. He didn’t know much but he worked hard, was engaging online, and wrote really good stories. Luke was the goat. He was Delly but with knowledge. Rome was a fricking dick. Besides grading the kids doing the PA, he would go to scrimmages and tweet about the gymnastics meet instead. There was some inside joke to it. He went from covering MLB to working for some no name BFE Mississippi paper writing stories about girls HS track. Alexander was lazy and wrote like a child doing Harry Potter fan fiction. I have little hope for Leah.

We said 4 weeks from a week ago which is 3 weeks. Leah said 2 weeks so it wasn’t very far off. All we initially got was a text telling us JT had surgery and we thought the worst but we then got word it was only minor and would be around 4 weeks of time off.

Luke Johnson was GREAT.
Definitely was the best beat writer for baseball I can remember. Super detailed tweets to keep up w games if you couldn’t watch, good stories, and you could tell he really enjoyed watching/being there.

Tbf though I also really like his Saints coverage
